Does anyone know how easy it is to claim residency after the first year for instate tuition? The TLS profile makes it seem pretty easy.

Scholarship review is a completely separate process that happens in February.

New e-mail today says scholarships will start coming out next week (for those of us who get in yesterday). If that's the case, it's certainly much quicker than than when everyone in this thread was speculating.

It wasn't really speculation. That's what they said at the open house was that scholarship review would not begin until February. My guess is they're feeling the pressure to stay competitive with other schools that are making decisions immediately. But your guess is as good as mine.

Also, that e-mail mentioned dean scholarships. Not sure if the February review is for other scholarships.

Just got awarded a full-tuition scholarship (University of Connecticut Scholar). Renewable, but must maintain a 3.0.

Twins! Missed your post.

Email was kinda vague...when do you think we have to accept by? I assume accepting comes with the intention to attend.

The website (last time I checked) said there were only 10 full rides. Based on the fact that a handful of people have already gotten them within a half hour of the email going out, it's possible that they're offering a few more than that. But it's definitely an honor and a rare offer.

It's possible that they choose the majority/all of the recipients early with the expectation that some won't accept and then re-offer to other applicants later in the cycle. Does anyone know WHEN we have to accept by?

Not sure. I have a smaller offer on the table from UVA and still want to hear back from some other top schools. I hope this is on the table for a few months, because I personally have a very tough decision to make (as I'm sure many of you do as well).

I'm the only one of the full ride group with stats in their profile! Haha, I assume you are all comfortably over the 75ths? And do you all intend to accept this or think you're going to go in a different direction? Just wondering. Congrats again to everyone.

I didn't get a full ride but I received a Dean's Scholarship, which for me is 20k and non-renewable. So it seems all types of scholarships are being sent out now.
