I was wondering the same thing. My guess is to cut down on people posting in forums they are otherwise unqualified to post in (i.e. 0Ls posting in Transfer or Employment threads). Who knows?tennisking88 wrote:Totally unrelated but anyone else annoyed that TLS doesn't have the Most Recently Posted links on its main page anymore? Cause, uh, cause I am.

Also "application complete, under review" as of a few hours ago. Anyone know if updates after this mean anything? I.e after 3 updates, they send you a decision or something?

Went from UNDER REVIEW to application complete. WELP... I can only assume bad news there... Hoping for a positive outcome but...... I feel the writing is on the wall.

When was your application UR? I did not see mine change, but I was wondering if I missed it...RaiderBlue17 wrote:Went from UNDER REVIEW to application complete. WELP... I can only assume bad news there... Hoping for a positive outcome but...... I feel the writing is on the wall.

Re: UNC c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Well now I'm confused. Does anyone have a complete list of all of the status stages for UNC?
I've been "Application Complete" since 12/9. But now I'm hearing people saying they're changing to things like "Under Review", "Application Complete, Under Review", "Complete", "Complete and Ready for Review", and probably even more.
A lot of these seem to mean the same exact thing, but wouldn't you think UNC uses the same words for each applicant? It just doesn't make sense to me.

On January 23rd my application was Under Review... Now it's back to complete... No need to be disheartened I guess, just hoping for good news but again I or anybody else can never pinpoint the wheres and whys of applications.

Just FYI, supposedly they're more on schedule this year than they were last year, so hopefully that means people won't be waiting until May.

Forgive me if it has been addressed, but has the first round of decisions gone out as of yet?

There were decisions sent in December if that's what you were wondering.CwallXC322 wrote:Forgive me if it has been addressed, but has the first round of decisions gone out as of yet?

No, sorry about that. Usually when I ask, I try not to be too intrusive, so I'll just say something like "So how's the admissions process going this year? Are you guys really busy?" And then whatever I get is what I pass onto you. And by the way, if the Chancellor's Scholarship invitations haven't gone out yet, they should be going out soon.tennisking88 wrote:Can you confirm any of the rumors the poster mentioned on the previous page?YouDontKnowMe wrote:Just FYI, supposedly they're more on schedule this year than they were last year, so hopefully that means people won't be waiting until May.

Re: UNC c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Well... they were supposed to go out on Saturday. But since not a single person has posted on here "OMG YOU GUYS I GOT A CHANCELLOR'S SCHOLARSHIP EMAIL" I'm assuming they didn't go out. So yeah, hopefully pretty soon. Again, I get the feeling that they look at applicants holistically rather than just based on numbers, but it's hard to tell because people don't sit around and discuss their qualifications. But for example, if you're a splitter, a not-so-stellar LSAT isn't going to automatically disqualify you from getting a scholarship.emcoast32 wrote:soon, as in this week? any ideas on the qualifications for this scholly?

Although, I guess to get the Chancellor's Scholarship I would have to first be accepted to UNC.

But seriously. Accept me and give me money.

thanks for your input. it doesn't look like anything has happened since the few admits in december, but since this is such a small sample size, there's no way of knowing what's actually taking place.YouDontKnowMe wrote:Well... they were supposed to go out on Saturday. True, but last year it seemed like a lot of people on here reported getting it.emcoast32 wrote:thanks for your input. it doesn't look like anything has happened since the few admits in december, but since this is such a small sample size, there's no way of knowing what's actually taking place.

Under review as of yesterday 2/6. I'm sure that means absolutely nothing. But I'm glad to know that at least someone thought about my application yesterday...

For my sake, I hope it doesn't mean anything. I'm still at "Application Complete," with a December date. Though I did temporarily change to "complete ready for review."alwayslovely wrote:Under review as of yesterday 2/6. I'm sure that means absolutely nothing. Who knows? I'm still application complete with a 12/9 date... And I was application complete, ready for review for about 2 months.... Seems pretty random to me but who knows?PurplePirate wrote:For my sake, I hope it doesn't mean anything. I'm still at "Application Complete," with a December date.
