Anybody here know the class size and stats for the part-time program? For example, is the median LSAT for PT 160 also, or would it typically be lower?

I just took the LSAT Feb. 11 and won't get the score until about 10 days before the application deadline. I don't think that I did very well, but I have a previous 162 from more than 3 years ago. Will GSU consider that score if my latest score is lower?

Would working at a law firm with the expectation that I will be an associate when I graduate help with admissions?

1. yes, typically
2. they will look at both
"It is extremely important to prepare the best you can for your first attempt at the LSAT because substantial increases in scores are rare. However, the admissions committee will review all LSAT scores."
3. No. its just another soft

You would have been in much better shape if you would have applied earlier. You could have easily got in with a 161. Your chances are slimmer now because they only have 200 or so spots to fill, but still likely. Good luck!

I would have applied earlier if I thought that they would have considered the old LSAT score. However, the web site indicated that scores > 3 years old would not be considered. So, I figured I needed an updated score and took the Feb. LSAT. I think LSAC will provide the 2007 score as well, so I am hoping they look as both as I am sure the 2007 score will be greater than the 2012 score.

Any idea how many of the 200+ admits are PT?

I think there are usually about 60-70 people in each starting PT class, but perhaps this has changed. Here are some statistics that don't exactly answer your question(s), but might help. Note that the LSAT scores are slightly lower for the PT crowd.

Does Georgia State ever offer first year tuition equalization (scholarship) for out of state students?

Yes. I'm not sure how often it is, but I have known people to get that.

I've been complete and ready for review since 1/9, has anyone else had this? It seems like a very long time to have not even gone into review yet.

I was marked as ready for review for at least a couple weeks.

That's ridiculous. I have to make a decision before then for some schools. I guess Georgia State is off my list.

Definately. GSU was once number one on my list, but I have received tons of offers and I want to make a decision by mid-March.

I agree, GSU has kept me waiting while under review for 26 days and i have a 166/3.32 despite some negative aspects of my app. This is disappointing since i had the opportunity to speak with a 3L who had gained meaningful employment and he left me feeling like GSU was at the top of my list.

Congrats! Do you remember when you went under review?

I am still languishing while I wait.

I went under review 1/24. I know how you feel I was beginning to get a little discouraged with my wait time and the lack of information about my status that those in the office seemed to be willing to give me.

Damn. I too went under review 1/24. You have without question better numbers than me, but still. Guess I should expect some type of decision this week, for better or for worse.

I don't think it matters when you go under review. I went under review 2/3 and was accepted 2/6

Correct, but there are a lot of us that went under review 1/24 and have been in review for about a month.
