Has anyone had an acceptance today (3NOV) or is all this banter a continuation of yesterdays acceptances

(If you hadn't checked yesterday, I guess the only way to tell would be to look at the status date)

Just checked, under mailings it says "Congratulations! Admit packet mailed." I must say, it is very nice to have an early acceptance.

Look a couple pages back. I think most people were complete either in late September or early October.

On 10/17. Weird though. I checked 15 minutes ago, and it had the congratulations statement under mailings, and the status date had changed to 11/2, but now there is nothing there.

Mine disappeared too. I looked at last year's thread and looks like the same thing happened to them. They appeared and then within a day disappeared. I think it is W&M trying to not tip their hand, even though they already have...

Are there any recent William and Mary graduates that can say anything about the school or what the job prospects are like at the moment?

Would be interested in this.

To distract myself and some of the others who haven't stopped checking their status' since word of admits dominated the thread, I have a very good friend in current attendance who (for good and obvious reason) has looked into this quite a bit and says that graduates have generally been successful in finding good work afterward. There are absolutely those who place in biglaw in nyc and in dc especially, although obviously not as strong as some of the other relatively nearby schools like UVA and GTown. And while it is a strong school regionally, it also places graduates outside of the region well, largely better than some of the better ranked regional schools like, for example, U of MN. That is largely the result of it's long history (oldest US law school) and consequently large alumni base.

Granted, this is all from a current student who is perhaps optimistic/hopeful, but I haven't found anything to indicate otherwise. If anyone does have relevant contradictory information, please remove me from my shroud of ignorance.

My congrats message disappeared as well . I won't feel good about it until some of us actually get packets in the mail. Nothing from them in the mail today, but I think it will take 3 days minimum to get here from VA.

Complete on 10/26. It seems like on Nov 1 they did the first batch of apps and accepted a bunch, then held the rest for review with a larger pool

I wonder if it means that even if we saw that, it might be a mistake, and we could have not gotten in.

But if that were the case, I'd imagine they'd be doing some serious damage control...
