I also have "letter of admission" dated for 12/9 under mailings! I am really surprised. I was sure I was going to get waitlisted.
This is definitely good news right? You wouldn't get a letter of admission indicating you were waitlisted...
Complete 11/1
Under Review 11/9, 12/2

yea, that's ridiculous imo. I don't blame them but Yield should not be a factor in rankings for this reason
Does anyone know how hard it is to get residency status for 2L and 3L?

I don't know necessarily, but I would venture to guess its like most other OOS law schools. You have to have lived in that state for at least 8-12 months consecutivelyThreeRivers wrote:yea, that's ridiculous imo. I don't blame them but Yield should not be a factor in rankings for this reason

Unless you get a job as a graduate assistant, it's next to impossible.ThreeRivers wrote:

Ughhh that sucks
I understand why states do that, but it sucks for me because I only applied to law schools I wouldn't mind living in that area (with the exception of Texas and Notre Dame).
If I end up attending Minnesota I'll probably end up living their long term lol

I also have the 12/9 letter of admittance on my status checker. Hopefully they will call us Monday to verify. Otherwise the wait for snail mail may kill me.
