Got my acceptance email 1/24

How long did it take most people to get their admission packets? Do they send them via USPS, or some other method? And how big of a package is it? It can take mail two weeks to get here sometimes...

It took it a while to get to me in the Midwest US. The email said it would be mailed they day after but it wasn't actually till the following tuesday. It got here on Saturday. So 9 days after acceptance to get to the midwest. It just had the official acceptance letter, stuff about seat deposits, a view book and it would have scholarship (if you get any, they've been quite stingy). HTH.

I waited 2 weeks to get it in California. USPS...

Well, not really. That's what it felt like when I read, "NZA, outstanding candidate, you have had some great experience for one so young, please join us."

In today and seriously thinking about going, but its going to depend on what if any $$$ they throw my way. I already live in DC and pay CHEAP rent, so if I decide to go to GW I'll just stay in my house and commute from LeDroit Park.

I'm in Yokohama. Sounds like I'm in for quite a wait... -_-' I'm starting to regret not using my parents' address in NC, but I really would hate to have to get all my bad news through them.

Yeah, they gave me no money. I told them about my Georgetown acceptance. Still no money.

I wonder whether getting a scholarship at Michigan will convince them, but I'm doubtful.

Yeah, If my packet comes with $0 there will be 0% chance of me attending. Which will be a damn shame...

It seems like a lot of strong applicants are getting admitted to GWU with no $$$. Maybe they dropped all/most of their cash on the ED crowd?

Seems like they might have a somewhat bipolar entering class. 1) A bunch of students around their median index going to the best school in DC they could get into. 2)A bunch of T10-worthy risk-averse students.

No idea. I def want an Aston, mainly because I don't want to deal with the hassle of figuring housing in a random new city while simultaneously worrying about starting law school.

The packet says 118 units, so about 1/5 the class. Doesn't look too bad but I think I'll probably try to find a place in Dupont Circle. I really doubt it fills up before like May or so...lots of people still have a ton of options/are waiting to hear back from a bunch of schools.

yea I think that's probably true. I'm definitely a category-one. wonder if category-two will dominate 1L grades too?

Exactly. I had a very high GPA and I am a URM and I got WL'ed.

GWU you make me sad. I'm WL with 3.55/167 (top ugrad). Sort of falling out of love, although I do quite like DC.
