Re: University of Oregon 2011
I was waitlisted with a 156 3.86. I was a little surprised because I got into a number of better schools. I was really hoping to get in so I could get away from CNY. Not sure if I am going to stay on the waitlist or not, because it seems like I have no hope for money and it is too expensive to go there without some form of scholarship.

they dont give very much money away anyway. even with a higher lsat, you would never approach half tuition.StillHerexxx wrote:I was waitlisted with a 156 3.86. I know, even 5 would have been cool. Tuition is relatively low, but with absolutely nothing, it would be hard to justify.

WL @ WUSTL. Could a WL or worse be waiting for me at UO? I applied in November...

Re: University of Oregon 2011
I feel like they have to have most of the admissions out by now, ive got to send my response to get $ by the 15th...
Maybe they will still keep sending out acceptances once they see how much $ they have. Not like they offer much regardless...
The number of profiles still pending on LSN does seem a little weird. I recently sent in an email seeing if they had any extra $ and have yet to got any response, could be that they are just a slow office.
Their accepted facebook group has about 75 members or so

Has anyone tried to negotiate their scholarship? I sent a letter but no response in the past week and now i have to send in seat deposit...
Non-response was an effective tactic.
Glad to hear someone else is sending in their deposit!

I still have not heard back yet, and with seat deposits due very soon, I'm worried. I'm guessing I'm getting a big ol' fat rejection. Which is disappointing because I'd jump on UO in a heartbeat.

Yup, their admissions department seems to be lacking in the "customer service" department. I hope that is no indication of the type of attention students receive once they are admitted.
The last message I received from them was about a month ago when my application went complete.
I'd like to go to UO, but without money, moving across the country with a family of 4 isn't very likely at this point ... especially with some pretty nice offers from schools in my region. And based on what everyone else is saying here, they don't offer much money for out of state folks (or anyone for that matter).
But I'm still curious.

Does anyone know how difficult it is to gain in-state here?oldtimer wrote:And based on what everyone else is saying here, they don't offer much money for out of state folks (or anyone for that matter).

From what I recall reading on their website/application and heard on this forum, it's fairly difficult if not impossible if you have not lived in the state PRIOR to Applying To the Law School.crossarmant wrote:Does anyone know how difficult it is to gain in-state here?oldtimer wrote:And based on what everyone else is saying here, they don't offer much money for out of state folks (or anyone for that matter).

Re: University of Oregon 2011
It is practically impossible to get in-state tuition unless you grew up in Oregon and never left. (though you do not lose in-state tuition for attending college in another state).
I'm currently attending UO, and I didn't get my acceptance until mid-April, definitely after admitted students day. So if you have your heart set on Oregon and haven't heard, don't give up hope!
The admissions office is by far the least responsive office I have run into in my experience so far. They seem to be the outlier.

Well, not Rejection, but a Waitlist. I guess that's better than nothing. Though, Rutgers - Camden is offering me money and in-state, so that may just be a better deal.SunshineKid wrote:+1crossarmant wrote:I still have not heard back yet, and with seat deposits due very soon, I'm worried. I might have to send one in then. Just got back from a trip and saw that I was put on the wait list 4/6. What was your LOCI like? Numbers? PM if you want.am0rfati wrote:In off of wait list: Sent my LOCI on 4/11 - received admit packet on 4/16.

It seriously concerns me that people are getting in off the waitlist and I have yet to hear anything... I applied in Jan and last week sent them a LOCI. I pretty much expect to be rejected at this point but what is taking them so long? Shouldn't I have at least heard something by now?

I would have killed for an email like. I called this morning, decision made 4/21 but wouldn't tell me what it is. I am guessing since i got no email it is not a good sign that they are mailing mine. What are your numbers if you don't mind me asking?nathan. wrote:In via e-mail from a "Connections Coordinator"? wow thanks Oregon for being so late. now I actually have to research your school.

PM'd Sarah.
does anyone know Oregon's biggest selling point? I'm totally clueless on this school.
