Has there been any movement in acceptances? I have been under-review for sometime now...

I have been in review since the beginning of December and another person sometime in November or October is also active on this thread. So pretty much no. No one has heard anything.mt1042 wrote:Has there been any movement in acceptances? I have been under-review for sometime now...

Thanks. On one hand it's great to know that I'm not alone. On the other it sucks that it has taken so long.

If it's any consolation, I didn't get my acceptance until March 17 via email (just looked it up). It's looking like the time frame will be similar this year.
Best of luck! If anyone has any specific question about the school, living situations, etc., I'd be happy to help.

Looks like RU-C and N both moving the wrong way in the rankings. While PSU, Temple, SHU all jumped double-digit spots, both RU places fell 4 spots, from 80 to 84.
Not too encouragaing. I guess getting in-state tuition helps alleviate that for NJ people, though.

Re: Rutgers-Camden Law School Class of 2014
Just received a really strange e-mail from Rutgers (especially when it looks like some of you have been waiting for a while for acceptances) It's an invite to Dean's Day on the 26th and saying if I applied now, barring any "irregularities" my acceptance packet would be waiting at the event. Here's the thing, while I have an ok LSAT (161), my LSAC GPA is horrible (>2.5), so I seriously doubt I would be an auto-admit anywhere. Plus I live on the West Coast and have no intentions of going back East. Just a weird WTF is this e-mail all around.

I am not accusing you of being a troll or anything but you didn't get an email first? Everyone else who has so far been accepted received an email before the status update. Either way congrats.chintand wrote:Just got into Rutgers Camden, via app status checker earlier in the afternoon! Black and Scarlet!

Yea, actually I happened to check the status checker just minutes before I ended up getting the email. I must have just seen it as they put it up.twb136 wrote:I am not accusing you of being a troll or anything but you didn't get an email first? Re: Rutgers-Camden Law School Class of 2014
I just got the mysterious/odd email inviting me to Dean's Day this Saturday. The letter is odd as hell and tells me that even though I am not accepted, they will tell me by the end of the week but they want me to come to the event.
So I guess I got in? Who's looking for housing in Collingswood?

I did it last year - it can be donedrmguy wrote:Anyone doing any scholarship negotiation yet?
Use some leverage (other schools and their offers): I remember specifically mentioning amounts per year and total costs.
I also used numbers to my benefit (i.e., if your LSAT or GPA is top quartile for their numbers)
I'm not sure if proof (I scanned images of scholarships from other schools) is needed, but if you can include it, you might as well. Although, I doubt they'd ask (who knows, maybe they call around).
You can also negotiation a travel stipend for dean's law day (mine was a standing offer for reimbursement if I decided to come to school). I ended up conversing with the Dean and she just added 500 dollars to my scholarship (instead of messing around with flight and/or hotel receipts).
I also remember students from last year not being as successful on either front.
Back to studying, good luck guys. I'll probably see many of you at Dean's Law Day

Anyone else in their acceptance email get the line "we were very, very impressed by your personal statement"? That's definitely a first; just want to know if it's boilerplate.

I'm still waiting to hear back from both Rutgers campuses... Argh. Seat deposits due in like 3 weeks for my other acceptances too.
