Is Hastings as big on GPA as some other cali schools? I'm well above their 75% LSAT but below the 25% GPA

Got the call this evening, too!

Really took me by surprise to get it this early. I didn't apply until after I got my December LSAT score (so around January 7 or so), and everyone told me that Hastings is notoriously slow with decisions. Really happy either way.

are you at/above 75th percentile? that is SUPER quick... i just finished today, so not expecting any time soon obviously, but after hearing horror stories about USD (my second choice) which is notoriously slow, this is nice to hear.

also.... seems like most people who got called are at/above 165ish and 3.75... anyone lower than that have good news? i'm 164/3.66 and (yes i know this was dumb) very late in the cycle...

i got a call from them last monday with numbers similar to urs so i think u will be fine

I'm not sure what their percentiles are exactly, but our numbers are also pretty similar (166, 3.69). I'd agree that you have a very good chance.

Hastings prefers LSAT over GPA, if your GPA is above 3.6ish and have at least a 164, you'll almost certainly get accepted. If your LSAT is 165 or more you could probably get in w/ a GPA as low as 3.3 or so.

I was complete early Dec. 168/3.44 UCLA grad

Phone call from the Dean two hours ago. In.

He didn't say anything about money (though he said there would be information on "scholarships" in the package I receive) and I thought it would be rude to ask. But judging from the threads, it looks like it's something they don't bring up on the phone call.
