Re: Penn 2011
Application received and processing since 11/19 (not so long)
I love Penn SO much right now though. I didn't know about one of their programs when I first applied, and not that I do, I wish that I had written something extra to prove to them that I love penn :/
getting rejected from UT has really messed with my mind.

So it's killing me not being able to report whether I am under review or not. I lost my status checker e-mails... I remember my username, and the "Forgot Password?" button on Penn's checker consists of non-existent security question since I guess I didn't select one.
This is killing me. I really want Penn.

Call them and ask if there's a way to retrieve your password?DaveBear07 wrote:So it's killing me not being able to report whether I am under review or not. I lost my status checker e-mails... I would, but I'm too paranoid that they'll take that as a sign of my incompetence and ding me.

It will probably be handled by the admin staff, not the admissions staff. No worries. Most people who works at Penn are super helpful, they shouldn't have any issues with getting the info for you.DaveBear07 wrote:I would, but I'm too paranoid that they'll take that as a sign of my incompetence and ding me.

Ah, I've been UCR for almost a month now with no movement on the date at all. I'm afraid. Very afraid.

Don't worry. Some RDers (not all) are only now going UCR for the first time yesterday and today. A lot of people are still stuck at complete.czelede wrote:Ah, I've been UCR for almost a month now with no movement on the date at all. I'm afraid. Very afraid.

Went "under committee review" today. I apologize if this has been asked before, but is that anything different from being under plain old review?

I think that's just their normal "Under Review" status.mrmangs wrote:Went "under committee review" today. I apologize if this has been asked before, but is that anything different from being under plain old review?

I don't understand why RD applicants are UCR and I'm still in queue for review when I ED'd.

Re: Penn 2011
Applying ED at most schools doesn't necessarily mean you'll hear back earlier than RD. They usually just have to respond by a certain date or within a time period, and if it's binding you have to go there. Some ED people do hear earlier, but it depends on the school. I think earlier today someone posted that Penn EDers still hear first (by about a week), so I wouldn't worry if I were you.shanshan333 wrote:I don't understand why RD applicants are UCR and I'm still in queue for review when I ED'd.

I just don't know why I'm not UCR, especially since people are saying ED applicants hear back by Dec. 8th. Maybe they just haven't updated the status checker?law_monkey wrote:Applying ED at most schools doesn't necessarily mean you'll hear back earlier than RD. Does your checker say you are complete? Are all the components in and showing?shanshan333 wrote:

For those of you who went UCR, did you receive an email saying that? Just wondering since they sent one about going complete, and I want to know if I'm completely wasting my time compulsively checking the status checker. Thanks.

They don't send an email for UCR. But, that doesn't mean you're not wasting your time checking your status checker123kl wrote:For those of you who went UCR, did you receive an email saying that? Re: Penn 2011
Checking in here. Submitted 10/4 but was held up for new letters of recommendation (reapplicant), complete since 10/25. What are the complete dates for most of you who are RD and UCR?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
