Did everyone who has gotten in already write the "Why Case" essay?

Nope, didn't write one.

I'll go ahead and include this since it'll probably be asked: 164/3.28, Complete on 11/5, Accepted 12/6

I did. It's safe to say that whenever a school has that question you should answer it. I'm above the 75th percentile for gpa and lsat so idk if it actually made a difference in my case.

I go to school about 30 minutes away from Case...I wonder if I should go knock on the door of whatever conference room they're looking over applications in and cry.

NO! It would be nice to know, wouldn't it?
Yes, it's driving me nuts!
Have you heard from any other schools thus far?
I got an acceptance via telephone to Michigan State today.

The LSN graph for the first day of Case decisions is telling. They appear to be going for the low hanging fruit (160+ LSAT and URM) before opening the gates to the bloodbath.

I really would like that misspelled status to disappear. It has said "Committee Reveiw" for far too long.

Ah, CHIN UP! It is really early to be hearing and not that many people have heard yet. Also, everyone that has heard has had really good numbers aside from one person on LSN accepted with a low 150s score who was ED. I'm just as impatient, but I have realized it doesn't help anything.

I mean, honestly, my thought is that I was complete at similar times and I was in review at similar times...yet there has been no update to my status for a month.

I was checking my email and an email from Case popped up and I almost had a heart attack but it was just them inviting me to their Open House. I'm not going to read into it at all because I know it means nothing. I wish I could go but I won't be at school (my school gets all of January off) and so I won't be able to go.

current status: "pending further review"

anyone know what that means? sounds like a wait list to me.

I also got the case open house email, also had a heart attack!

It sounds like a waitlist. This is a comment from the 2010 thread:

http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... =7&t=99701
Same. My status checker says "pending further review" as of 12/09. Not sure what that means.

and then

I got an e-mail this morning stating my file was held. The e-mail said it wasn't a waitlist but it sounds exactly like a waitlist. In any case I'm withdrawing and hopefully that will potentially help someone else get in later.

I too received the open house e-mail. Equal magnitude heart attack.

Thanks for the response and thanks for finding that thread.

Shouldn't they know better than to send out law school open house emails at this time?!

A shot in the dark, but do you go to a small, private school on the west side?

Edit: Nice, it shows it in your profile. And this is why I'm not in at Case! I grew up in this area.

Hey all! Congrats to everyone who has been admitted so far. Received the admit e-mail on 12/6 but no scholarship info. I also can't access the admitted students site yet. Anyone have info on either one? Hopefully we get something soon..

I'm still at "Eapp Receipt 11/9". I've emailed twice in the last two weeks and haven't heard back AT ALL. I think I'll call them tomorrow before I go to work (I'm on the West Coast) and see if I can get some answers.

I also got the open house email today. I walked away and played a game of FIFA to calm my nerves only to come back to see it was something so ordinary.

Oh well. Good Lord, I really I hope I hear something soon. This is agony.

I got the e-mail on the sixth, and I'm in! Very excited about the offer of admission, I'd say there is a 99% chance I'll end up at Case. I'm not from Cleveland, but have family there and I am looking forward to visiting to open house in January. My stats were not great as I was a hair below both of ther 25% LSAT and GPA, which makes me even more excited about the offer of admission.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
