Yes, I'm in the same boat as you. Median LSAT, >75th GPA, complete 10/12, UR 11/9 - status hasn't updated.lawgrl21 wrote:good luck to everyone who is waiting! did anyone who applied early-mid October with strong/pretty strong BC #s status not change? Median GPA, LSAT between 25% and median.
Again, my status changed today to tell me to expect the decision in 3-5 days... Even though the stronger applicants did not get the update, I'm staying hopeful.

My status is still under review as of 11/16. BC is a safety for me, but I really like it.

So that's it - the people with decisions on their status checkers should be expecting rejections in the next week or so?

Re: Boston College Applicants Thread
Just went under review as of yesterday (11/30). My GPA is just below their median and my LSAT (170) is well above their 75%.

Well, we're not sure, obviously. And since they did away with EA this year, last year's decision data is probably not super relevant (last year there was a spike of rejections and acceptances around thsi time). However, I don't really see a reason why they'd accept borderline applicants before strong applicants, so I'm personally preparing for the worst.gz5hc9 wrote:So that's it - the people with decisions on their status checkers should be expecting rejections in the next week or so?

Taken from LSAC website, ABA Law school data:Gemini Hopeful wrote:Can anyone quote me the 25-75 percentiles for LSAT? Please and thank you!!
GPA and LSAT Scores
Total
# of apps 7,166
# of offers 1,431
# of matrics 264
75% GPA 3.68
Median GPA 3.53
25% GPA 3.34
75% LSAT 167
Median LSAT 166
25% LSAT 163
EDIT: I don't know what year this is from. It's probably better to use their website for the 2010-2011 entering class (although it makes things seem even more grim).

Well, last year they certainly did mixed batches (i.e., rejections, wait lists, and acceptances where given out the same "a decision has been rendered" day). Can't guarantee what they do this year, of course.ericas386 wrote:that's pretty nasty if the first batch of decisions are rejections...ouch.

Re: Boston College Applicants Thread
I am the median at BC...166 and a 3.6
With a Masters degree, public interest heavy resume, two years of Teach for America, and very good recommendations...should I expect to get in? I'm worried because it is one of my top choices! Does anyone think I have a shot at money?
Just wondering

I'm in the exact same boat as you (162 LSAT, 3.85 GPA), but I didn't get a 3-5 day notice today. I submitted my application on October 30. I have been under review since 11/5.JennBNYC wrote:My GPA is above 75%, but my LSAT is one point below 25%. I have that 3-5 day thingy, too :-/.
I wouldn't give up hope, people. I would find it highly unusual if they only rejected people in this first batch. It's likely a mix, and it's probably the people who submitted the earliest. It would be useful if people mention when they submitted their applications so we could test that idea (I know some of you did).
