Both of these posts made me laugh. Thanks Barbie & PDL.PDL wrote:Barbie wrote:lies, lol.innernetp wrote:In via email! I submitted DECEMBER 8TH! I can't believe how fast that was. I'm in state, numbers in profile.
Yeah, brah, what's the deal with the lies?
Innernetp's stats appear to be 3.72/167.

I'm not a fan of UGA's princess syndrom right now. I hope UNC didn't catch it.2Serious4Numbers wrote:they are just following UGA with the whole IS business, no biggie...right...right??... shit.Barbie wrote:OOS mediocre #s FTL

UNC isn't worth it OOS unless they give you a lot of money. The school wasn't that impressive when I visited. Facilities, staff, and class size are major negatives.

washington, washington. 6 foot 10 f-ing killing for fun haha.
congrats to the accepted in-state folks. for the rest of us in-staters with more borderline numbers, i think we'll have to wait until march-april. they'll try and reel in $ from OOS (and try and reel in good in-staters), give us WLs, and then we'll come off in the spring, hopefully. at least that was a friend of mine's experience last cycle. she was on the WL until july and finally said screw it and put in her deposit at campbell.
and yes, UNC UG and Law are a bit more pretentious than than necessary

top choice of what I consider my target schools, but I'm probably getting waitlisted.

Re: UNC 2011 Applicants
I'm 95% sure I'll be at UNC next year, barring some drastic, unheard of admission + $$ to Duke or GULC (which, given my #'s, won't be happening).
I've spent the last three years trying to figure out a way to get back up to the Triangle... going to UNC is certainly Step 1.

Haha, whoops! Yes, LSAC GPA = 3.72, 167. UNC is my alma mater.
I know that Carolina isn't the best law school, but I do have to say that Chapel Hill is one of the most fantastic places in the world. There's so much to do all the time, too many speakers, great sports, it's just wonderful. Life is about more than prestige (though I totally understand people caring about job placement, etc).
Good luck to everybody.

Re: UNC 2011 Applicants
It's my running coach's alma mater as well as the school of the lawyer I work with. I've heard great things about UNC from them, but I wasn't necessarily impressed when I visited.innernetp wrote:Haha, whoops! Yes, LSAC GPA = 3.72, 167. UNC is my alma mater.

Still, I would love to go to UNC, provided I get in (OOS, so not likely!)
