Is there any way to know that your app is "under review" or does it just switch from application complete to the decision?

Is it normal at Fordham to apply and go complete immediately? I applied last night and was already complete when I logged on to the status checker.

I think so. They seem to have a very efficient system of sorting out applicants.Sinra wrote:Is it normal at Fordham to apply and go complete immediately? I applied last night and was already complete when I logged on to the status checker.

Anyone hear of any decisions going out today? Fridays seem to have been pretty popular so far.

I was looking at LSN and it kind of looks like it's the 1st and 15th of each month, give or take.

Applied and went complete on 11/3/2010. I know it's ridick to think I'd get a decision this fast, but hey, I'm a dreamer. I'm also a dreamer even thinking I'll be considered...My LSAT was not desirable.

I've heard anecdotally that Fordham takes forever.brupe wrote:Applied and went complete on 11/3/2010. I know it's ridick to think I'd get a decision this fast, but hey, I'm a dreamer. I'm also a dreamer even thinking I'll be considered...My LSAT was not desirable.

Great, that's SO exciting. I LOVE waiting. I won't get in anyway, 151 retake and a 3.7 w/ one year work experience in a law firm. That 151 is killing me.

What firm? Can you get that 151 up? It's a killer manbrupe wrote:Great, that's SO exciting. I LOVE waiting. I won't get in anyway, 151 retake and a 3.7 w/ one year work experience in a law firm. That 151 is killing me.

Mears Law firm in Iowa City. I probably could...but i have a 146 and 151 as of now. Even if I get another 5 points will that really help? I already have 5 apps in and complete so I'm afraid they won't even wait for a Dec LSAT score. And I'm not sure I want to put myself through that again, its so brutal.

Cool well good luck to you. Apply to some lower-tier schools too, if you haven't already. Unfortunately Fordham is probably a reach. If you want to be in NYC, what about NYLS??brupe wrote:Mears Law firm in Iowa City. I probably could...but i have a 146 and 151 as of now. Even if I get another 5 points will that really help? Yeah, I'm a paralegal here. It's been great experience. That a good school? My biggest reach school is UIowa, which is actually the one I have the best chance getting into b/c I got my undergrad degree here and have recs from profs here. Fordham's my second reach, my better schools are Marquette, Miami, Tulane, Washington and Lee, and American. I can't get rejected from everywhere right?

Apply to NYLaw. I get that you're going for one type of program, but open your options. Chances are the contacts you can make in NY are a lot better for your career than a class or two in that kind of law elsewhere.brupe wrote:Yeah, I'm a paralegal here. It's been great experience. My guess is that no one will hear anything til Thursday or Friday of this week at least. I am no expert and don't have a crystal ball, but they have been releasing decisions towards the end of the work week so far this cycle.

I saw it in my crystal ball that I keep on a cement pillar in my front yard

Re: Fordham 2011
Actually, I have no idea why I think it will be this week. Except... it did say I would probably receive a decision within 6-8 weeks of being complete. I went complete 8 weeks ago on Wednesday. Also, it seems from the graphs http://www.top-law-schools.com/images/d ... ordham.jpg that this week should have some action. Those are my only reasons.... but given the circumstances I think it's a good guess.
