Anyone know what the schools are that have a significant overlap with UM? Penn, UvA, Duke?

Penn has made a few offers, so that could be one. UVA definitely is not making offers, and Duke seems to be full up, too, from what I've gathered. I'm curious about those other schools, too.

It is bad news if you didn't get it. All I ever wanted was to attend umich. No dice this year. They told me. I have been removed from the waitlist.

emailing with Lorraine lamey in the admissions office. I wrote her asking why I didn't receive the email and she said it was because they were intending to relaese me from the waitlist. She was very nice about it, which almost made it worse bc it made me want to go there even more.

the email said they would release people over the next "couple weeks". my guess is that it will correlate with the second deposit deadline on June 15th and we might see people being accepted/released at that point. i doubt we will see much happening before then.

Apparently it wasn't bad news that I didn't get it, because I haven't been released. WOO HOO!

And they have released everyone they were planning to release (or at least that's what I've been told). Maybe email admissions to be sure?

Do you guys think that perhaps if we didn't get the e-mail sent today according to the website that means we've been released or will be released soon? It seems like the e-mail sent today may be the one that the previous e-mail referenced and indicated would be sent to those who are kept on the new smaller waitlist... Thoughts?

I emailed admissions re: the mysterious email that some of us didn't get, and they said something to the tune of, "Those who have been released from the WL have already been notified." So it sounds like 1) you got removed, but there is a problem with your email or their email getting through or 2) you're still on the waitlist.

Very nice email from the lady... Their admissions office is top of the line! I really love Michigan, I just hope if they are going to admit me, they do it soon. Tearing myself away from WUSTL will be hard the later it gets into the summer.

I never got the missing email, but I got a response to an email I sent inquiring about the official email that I never got.

they didn't say how the people who were cut were notified , did they ? living in Canada means all mail takes soooooooooooo long to get here
