YMMV though, and obviously I don't have a Ruby on the table. Congrats WC, by the way!

The bolded is more what I was going for. I only have 2/12 offers so far for scholarships and neither are at my top choice, so I'm kind of forced to wait at this point, but if I were in your position, I'd likely drop some schools.
Thanks for the advice, guys. You've been helpful. I was worried about the selfishness aspect of it, and also would like to narrow down the number of financial aid applications I need to keep track of and such. (I guess laziness goes both ways.)
I think I'm going to take Lymenheimer's middle of the road approach. For now, I might withdraw from a couple of schools lower on my list, since even a full-ride there couldn't pull me away from the Ruby. But I'll leave open enough alternatives in case something in my life circumstance changes or whatnot. Maybe I'll contract a rare disease that requires me to move to a warmer climate.
To your point, EnderWiggin, I guess I applied a little more broadly because I didn't know what to expect from the cycle. I didn't know the Ruby was coming when I applied to the top regional school where I live, for instance.
