Lol! It wasn't a contemporary song at all. I wrote about a perfectly respectable piece of music. I'd rather not be more specific, although I am fairly certain very few people with my stats approached that prompt the way I did, so they probably already know who I am.

If the Penn AdCom is checking this thread- please let me in! I love Penn!!!!

If I want to submit an additional letter of recommendation to Penn, do I do it through LSAC or can I submit to the e-mail address in the e-mail?

I called Penn this (Friday) morning about my application status. Unfortunately, I have been deferred - the woman mentioned that I am no longer bound by my ED contract.

The woman who helped me said that my application will be reviewed again in January, as the committee would like for another person to have a look at my file.

I will be sending a short letter to reiterate my interest in (and dedication to) Penn, and will include an update as to what I am doing now.

To those of you who have been accepted: CONGRATS!

Ugh, I decided to embrace my anxiety and join up. A little part of me died inside.

Just got the "your UPenn app is complete and has been placed in queue" email.

After reading this thread I'm pretty nervous that I didn't do enough writing. I had to write the GPA addendum and I opted for the diversity addendum because my PS alluded heavily to a certain influential book. I also tailored it for UPenn so i didn't want to repeat myself with the "why penn" essay. So two additional essays instead of 3.

Bad choice?

I got mine in on the 23rd of November. I think you should definintely submit yours before Christmas. After that most schools report getting a flood of apps.

I think that the other poster may mean that it's submitted but he hasn't received a complete notification from Penn.

Very bad choice! I did the same and have been regretting that for a few weeks. If we're put on WL we'll get a 2nd chance to send in additional essays though. A Why Penn is definitely in order for me!
