Does snail mail = acceptance? Or do they also reject, waitlist, and defer via snail mail?

I know the next step is calling admissions to check on this, but I'm wondering if I should wait a few more days or just do it. Anyone else have to wait awhile before hearing from an interviewer?
Goodluck!! I feel that having the interview really helped my chances

I got my group interview invitation for this coming Monday in DC. I am local so it is easy, but this is definitely short notice.

Interview invitation (alumni) today. Applied 12/7. I'm currently out of the country but will be back state-side in two weeks. That shouldn't be a problem, right?

Still waiting to be contacted by my Alumni interviewer. Today is day 8. I'll call admissions after the weekend if I haven't heard anything.
I'm curious if anyone knows of any meaning to different kinds of interview offers? I'm seeing group, skype, and alumni. Just based on the location of the applicant and what makes sense or something more?

I had my group interview in mid-December and haven't heard anything at all yet... as a splitter, I've taken this as a not-so-good sign
anyone in a similar boat?
