Looks like somebody on LSN was WL -> Rejected by email -- I think it's safe to assume they are going through the WL pile and narrowing it down if this is the case.

Some movement is better than none? At least it means something is happening...poptart123 wrote:Looks like somebody on LSN was WL -> Rejected by email -- I think it's safe to assume they are going through the WL pile and narrowing it down if this is the case.

The next set of paperwork is due June 6th. If there's going to be any positive movement I'd imagine it happens after that.

Withdrew this morning AKA a new spot with $8k a year and a nonresident exemption just opened up. Good luck!

I have been waitlisted and this is my dream school. Is it possible they are waiting to accept from the waitlist until after the June LSAT scores come in? So basically we won't hear much until July?

Received an email this morning updating my WL status and asking me to withdraw if I no longer wished to be considered. It said there were no more offers at this time, but I'm wondering if this email was sent to narrow down the WL acceptance list with the new deadline coming up on 06/06.

I assume it means we have to wait until the admitted students miss the second deposit, though it does seem like they're jumping the gun with that deadline fast approaching. Costs me nothing to wait, take your time Texas.

It is. I got two of these before being accepted in July along with (as far as I know) 3-4 other people.poptart123 wrote:Received an email this morning updating my WL status and asking me to withdraw if I no longer wished to be considered. Edit: Also was able to negotiate $$$ once I sent in my signed LOI.

Did you get in early or late July? Also, did you retake the LSAT in June?rnoodles wrote:It is. Anybody noticing any waitlist movement? LSN seems pretty dead.

IIRC, last year I didn't hear of any movement until July. Not sure if there was any movement after that either.relisher wrote:Anybody noticing any waitlist movement? LSN seems pretty dead.

Re: University of Texas c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
They sent me this yesterday. Does it mean there was no waitlist movement?
Earlier this spring, you accepted our offer to be placed on the waitlist for our 2016 entering class. In light of the number of admitted students who have made enrollment deposits, the Admissions Committee has decided not to extend additional offers at this time but may do so in the future.
The Admissions Committee will continue to monitor the status of the entering class and update you on a monthly basis. As long as the waitlist remains active, there is a possibility that additional admission offers will be made. If you wish to be removed from the waitlist, however, please notify us by email at admissions@law.utexas.edu.
I wish this letter brought more favorable news, but rest assured that we will keep you apprised of your status throughout the summer.

Don't remove yourself. I got the same thing (for the second or third time), ignored it, got accepted like July 5th?cybersoyuz wrote:They sent me this yesterday. Does it mean there was no waitlist movement?

Same. Has anybody heard any rumors about how the class is shaping up?Motivated wrote:I really really hope we hear some good news pretty soon.
