I too noticed a change with the mailings section on the same day (11/20.) I am pretty sure that my mailings section got a bit bigger. My acceptance letter was dated five days after I noticed the change. No other change to my status checker has been made.

I may just be adding fuel to the crazy fire. Just like Jesus' face on burnt toast, I was willing to accept anything as a sign from above.
wait is this really a thing? i just checked mine and it does seem larger...

this is worse than reading tea leaves

I was invited to a group interview via email today, but the offered interview is a six hour drive from where I'm currently living. Does anyone have any advice on this?

Seems like those who have attended the group interview have had good results; I would make every effort to attend, if at all possible. But that's just me.

You could always ask for an alumni interview in your area, or a skype interview.

In all seriousness, this is your best approach. I would try contacting them about the distance though. In my interview request they specifically mentioned driving over an hour to be a hardship, and so 6 seems to be excessive. It sounds like it might have been a clerical error.

Hey just got my acceptance letter today. Any idea when you find out about scholarships? It didn't say anything in the letter so I was curious.

Got this email today. I guess it's better than an outright rejection? Any ideas on the likelihood of getting in later in the cycle? I'm sure they just want to see what type of applicants come in after the most recent LSAT. I'm a splitter with 75% LSAT and 25% GPA. Fingers crossed!

"Thank you for participating in our interview process for Georgetown University Law Center. Although the record you present is a strong one, the Committee on Admissions has chosen to postpone your final decision.

Each year, a large number of candidates submit applications to Georgetown Law early in the process. The high quality of this group makes the Committee's decisions extremely difficult. Please be aware that only a small number of early applicants have their applications held, and a number of those applicants in past years have subsequently been admitted.

Once we have a better sense of the entire applicant pool, the Committee on Admissions will review your application again. No additional information is necessary, and the Credential Assembly Service (CAS) will continue to send us updates, which we will add to your file. A final decision will be made no later than Friday, February 26, 2016. "

Got the same thing just now. Not sure what to think about it. Since after an interview, your application is expedited, I assume they accept, deny, and then hold off for a few. Hoping good news to come.

Yeah, me neither. Good luck to us I guess! It's not the same as being waitlisted though, right? It's almost like a pre-waitlist?

Same email. "A number of those applicants have subsequently been amitted" sounds pretty grim. I submitted mid-November and have not been contacted for an interview. I really wasn't expecting to hear anything from them in the immediate future either way... And then this. My application never even moved to anything resembling "under review." Any insight? :|

I looked at last year's thread and was pretty confused. It looked like they sent an email in February asking admitted students how much they needed (umm....all of it?), asked for tax returns and had them fill out forms, then in late March/early April they sent offers. Maybe I misunderstood what was going on because it was different from the process at other schools. Perhaps I didn't read far enough back into the thread or something.

Sorry to hear that :( Though at least for the GTown status checker, I heard it doesn't move past "complete."

Are these recent decisions for people applying for early decision/action?

Got my acceptance recently. Submitted RD not too long before acceptance (maybe 2 weeks?). No interview.

How do you know it's "preferred" waitlist?

Hey guys,

Have most people gotten accepted after group interviews? Has anyone gotten waitlisted? For those who have had group interviews, did you actually hear back within the 2 week time frame that was specified?

I’m a reverse splitter and I just had a group interview this week. It seems like most people have had positive experiences with the interviews but I honestly didn’t feel good about mine at all, I wish I’d had more time to speak or articulate myself. Is it way way way too early to e-mail a why georgetown. Should I wait to send it in case I get waitlisted?

My acceptance was postmarked 5 days after my interview and I didn't get it until the very end of the week following my interview, which was a Tuesday evening.
