Now that everything is pretty much over, what are your thoughts on Stanford Law?

Umm, it's the best fucking school in the entire goddamned world. I will be there this fall and am personally just grateful that I get to post in the C/O 2019 thread, where we actually have a real OP in fliptrip. Eat caca and die, Dcc617. Your parents hate you.

It's chill bro, but I was already set on Harvard or Yale anyway. I got my shades on to block out all that shade from CA. Enjoy the earthquakes, hippies.

I personally can't stand Stanford, its administration, and especially its admissions office. I waited patiently for 4-7 months only to get waitlisted or rejected less than a week before May. Seriously, go home Stanford, you're drunk (unless you accept me off the waitlist, then I will love you)

Meh, I mean, this was a total long shot for me. I just wanted to see what would happen. This is what I thought would happen.

I'm totally indifferent to Stanford, because I am super happy with the option I am going with. Grow up, Dcc617. You're embarrassing yourself with this poll.

I will be Seymour Asses from Futurama, and Stanford is my Fry. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? I WILL FUCKING DIE ON THE WAITLIST!

I am a lurker. I may not have even applied anywhere this cycle. My motives for lurking this thread are entirely inscrutable and apparently I have nothing better to do with my life.

Dcc617, stop making every other poll option about yourself. While you are very handsome, your constant narcissism and self-indulgence has become off-putting.

Also I think I know what happened re: MailingGate/MailingGazi. I noticed my mailing section grew in size (like a few extra line breaks thrown in), though stayed empty. Maybe if I hadn't noticed it before, I would now.
So extra spaces is good or bad? Now I'm questioning if I've always had that large, yet empty mailing group.
The answer is definitely in Hilary's private email server #MailingGazi #TCOT #LizardTruth

EDIT: but seriously it probably doesn't mean anything

You know you've hit a low when the Status Checker is your most visited site on multiple computers.
This is too real.
Literally the only bookmarks I have on my phone's browser are for status checkers.

Starting My LOCI. I have this feeling in my gut that I am going to get DLS'd just as I finish writing it.

DLS'd as of about 10 minutes ago. Called to confirm a ding. Complete 1/11. Just below both 25ths but special softs.
Not totally shocking and lucky to have some closure - not even the end of my cycle though unfortunately still stuck in law school purgatory.
Good luck to those still waiting!

Still haven't heard one way or the other. Soon it'll be 7 months of waiting. Does Stanford have substantially more work / a smaller adcomm team than other schools? Sort of annoyed tbh.

It's known to be more of a "black box" than other schools meaning less number dependant.. This would imply they evaluate candidates more in depth/laugh longer at our attempt to cover for poor grades and or lsat scores. Then ding us anyway.

I keep wanting to think that I'm "special" because I haven't been DLS'ed yet, but then I remember that I applied on literally the last day possible oops.

It's ok we think you're special <3

Also SLS, thank you for helping me conquer my fear of rejection. I don't even care if I'm dinged at this point; I just want answers so I can move on with my life.

When I see that people with a better gpa and the same or better LSAT score get dinged, and I'm still around, I think I might have a chance, maybe I am that beautiful and unique snowflake. It gives me hope. But then the realist in me says "no. you don't actually have a chance"

Can tell y'all this about "Mailings" section in Status Checker: (1) Towards end of February, I received my access to the checker; (2) March 14th, I took a pic of the checker screen—blank "Mailings" section was present (do not recall whether blank "Mailings" section was present before March 14th); (3) Last checked, April 13th, super late at night, blank "Mailings" section remains, and there's never been a change in the section's size.

Still alive and waitin' :DPraise Jesus:mrgreen: :!: :!: :!:

For whatever reason I no longer have access to the number of invited members, but there are currently 258 accepted members. That said, when the number was last available, there were close to 100 invited numbers. So it's hard to guess from the number of accepted members alone how many more spots are left.

Yeah, I imagine there must still be a bunch of spots left, since the number of admitted members hasn't changed too much over the past couple of weeks.

Got the call today! Dean Deal seemed very aware that some have been waiting a very long time.

Went complete 2/19. No LOCI. 3.75 and 173 from Ivy. Political Science + Philosophy. Marine Corps Veteran. Not in the FB group yet, will report back.
I checked after the call and my status checker changed to DLS.

I'm lucky enough to be tortured by the choice between HYS.

Good luck everyone!
