Is anyone else still waiting? I haven't heard a thin since my application went complete. Getting pretty late.

oh great, must have missed that. thanks!keekztresq wrote:I didn't (sent it via email). In one of her blog posts, Asha says not to expect a response/confirmation for everything because they only have two people working in the office...makes me cringe but what can you do I guess?qwertyTLS wrote:did anyone receive confirmation of WL response, or some sort of acknowledgement?

I'm also curious about this-- has anyone figured it out?keekztresq wrote:Also, the WL email didn't specify, but if you are submitting additional recs would it be better to do it via email or snail mail?
I read a recommendation that LOCI in snail mail is less likely to be ignored and more likely to be placed in my file, but Yale should have its own preferences.

I don't know about preferences, but I called yesterday to ask because I'm paranoid and they said email was fine.bluesquemoi wrote:I'm also curious about this-- has anyone figured it out?keekztresq wrote:Also, the WL email didn't specify, but if you are submitting additional recs would it be better to do it via email or snail mail?

Anyone from ASW or who called know about a goal for all initial decisions out? Looking on LSN, I don't see much past 4/17-4/19 for last three years.

Although to be fair ASW was a week earlier last year, so the last decisions went out a week after ASW ended, which means late this week would not be unprecedented (though still egregious).RandomDude wrote:Anyone from ASW or who called know about a goal for all initial decisions out? Waitlistees - Did you get a notification confirming that they received your waitlist form? I sent mine 4/16 and haven't received an email back.

for us on the WL - assuming we're all 10 or 11s, that means AT LEAST one prof of the three gave us a 4 in faculty review. that's pretty exciting!!

It's been relatively quiet here recently.
Any speculation as to when the next wave of decisions may come out?

Last round of WLs/dings seems likely today or tomorrow, but hard to know

Posted above, but for those still waiting:
Per twitter from about three months ago, this is the last week for decisions.

That does raise two questions though:RandomDude wrote:Posted above, but for those still waiting:

1) 11 "more" including the week they tweeted that, or not?
2) 11 more weeks of admits, but potentially more weeks of decisions that are not admits?

Re: Yale c/o 2018 (2014-2015 Applicants)
True. I guess if you take it as inclusive then admits are over, which would line up with the usual ASW cutoff.
However, some type of decisions must still be forthcoming, as many people are still waiting to hear.

Turned down Yale today for Stanford. Hopefully that opens up a spot for a TLSer!
Good luck to everyone on the waitlist.

You're one of only ~50 people in the entire world who will turn down Yale this cycle. Hehe. Congrats and thanks for the good wishes!kulizy1 wrote:Turned down Yale today for Stanford. Hopefully that opens up a spot for a TLSer!

Just withdrew from the wait list. Feels like blasphemy, but I really do have my heart set on Harvard. And with that, my cycle is officially over.
Best of luck to you all!

Trying to come to peace with the lack of a decision.
This is the last week of admits, according to the twitter pic.
Who knows when a waitlist or reject will find out?

I didn't get it either. The blog says they don't send it though. (I think the exact line was "We are not Amazon"...lol)keekztresq wrote:lsacbf wrote:Waitlistees - Did you get a notification confirming that they received your waitlist form? I sent mine 4/16 and haven't received an email back.
