sorry about the confusion- im in a different time zone, so it was 1/27 when I logged in to my status checker. The date on the webpage says 1/26. I got an email instead of a phone call b/c i'm outside the US.

UR1 since 12/2...Is this a bad sign? Similar situation at UC Berkeley and I can't figure out if it's okay for it to take this long or it generally means out for the count

I have been UR2 since late October, and my numbers are marginal for NYU. Since I evaded the first wave of rejections, is it safe to assume that a WL (or eventual ding) is most probable, or is there precedent for NYU doing a second sweep and admitting some applicants it originally passed over?

yes, i'm not in a great position on their percentiles either, but there seem to be a few who are high number candidates who are still #dlsnevercrew. it will be interesting (hopefully not devastating) to see what happens.

UR2 since mid December and above both 75ths here (with a 100% acceptance rate over the last 12 years according to LSN) so I'd venture a guess that it's way to early to assume what their decision is, whether one way or the other based on how long they're taking.

Looking over the last 2 applicant threads on TLS and LSN, it seems that there will be a whole bunch of acceptances for DLSnever people, with really old UR1 and UR2 dates at around the end of February (last year) or the beginning of March (2 years ago.) I myself am UR2 from 12/22 and am really hoping the pattern repeats itself this year.

There is still hope! it seems like some sort of hold until they can better assess the years applicant pool, not necessarily an auto ding or WL.

I doubt it. It's hard to lose an electronic application and considering #dlsnever, you're not unusual.

Just got an email to attend an admitted students reception on 2/24. Haven't received an email about actually being admitted. My status checker still shows UR 1/24 and I couldn't login to the admitted students site. Hope this isn't just a screw up.
