Thats exactly what I was referring to.
This is an interview, and it's a good sign. She is very nice and easy to talk to. Typical questions such as Why UVA/why law/resume specific/elevator pitch.

I received an interview invite with Cleveland yesterday, and I submitted 11/21 (had been getting nervous with the silence!).

Just be prepared for very general, resume-based and why UVA/why law school based questions. Grace Cleveland is an incredibly lovely person from my experiences 8)

(ETA: meant to just echo other responses, seconding their experiences)

Well that's good to hear. Feel like my app has been languishing forever! Glad hope is not lost.

Yeah, she seems really nice. Very tolerant of nervy applicants haha.

Just got a stunning rejection from Cornell, and now UVA is my top choice. Would it be okay to submit a Why UVA? three months after going Complete?

Definitely go for it. Spivey seems to strongly recommend it.

I keep on going back and forth on writing one. I really like UVA, but everything in my application/resume says it's the best fit in the T14. idk what I could add via a LOCI/YUVA.

I totally agree. I feel like for a lot of schools, I wrote the "why X school" essay with my application, so being repetitive might put me at a disadvantage.

Just want to point out that repeatedly saying that you are "stunned" to be rejected or "need" to be accepted to a top 10 law school comes off as pretty shockingly arrogant / entitled. The LSAT is important and congrats on your fantastic score, but it shouldn't guarantee admission anywhere.
Ehh, I don't see that. Sounds like he put a lot of work into improving on a good cycle, and is being rewarded with jack. Even if that doesn't entitle him to another good cycle I'd be pretty annoyed.

Cornell accepted me last year with a sizable scholarship, then rejected me this year. By the standards of law school admissions, if that's not stunning, I don't know what is.

You are just choosing to read that "need" in the most obnoxious way possible, and I'm not going bother clarifying.
I didn't find your post arrogant, and do you think turning down a sizable scholly might have played a role in the result this year?

Yeah, I'm almost certain that's what did it. UM did the same thing (Acceptance with $$ last year, Rejection this year). I guess they figured I reapplied because I didn't like any of the options, which wasn't the case.

Did you do any addenda on why you reapplied after withdrawing previously?

On applications that gave me the chance to explain reapplying, I did. I can't remember if either of those apps had a spot for that, though.

I just assumed that reapplications were common enough that they wouldn't really scrutinize. Man, was I wrong.

Well I'd figure any school that's sensitive about its yield (i.e. most of them) would be doubly suspicious of a reapplicant who turned down money. But I'd hope they'd be fair about it - punishing someone for making a smart decision not to go to law school without being totally happy with their options isn't that, in my opinion.

Well... just had a missed call from a VA number....was good old Liberty University. Why would they start calling me now?? Was all I could do to politely ask the woman who answered the phone to please take me off their list...ugh... such torture.

I'm still trying to figure out why tincan freaked on that statement.

173 LSAT and 3.6X GPA. UVA is my top choice, but I have seen no movement as of yet. Submitted a Why UVA Essay a month after initially submitting my application. Besides visiting, which I intend to do within the next three weeks, is there anything else I can do to express my interest and increase my chance of acceptance?
