For a now below T20 school, this delay is atrocious. I can understand Stanford and even Cornell. There is no excuse for USC.

USC is still T20(not that it means much), other schools just gamed the employment part of US news where they hired 15-20% of their grads For "full time" jobs for a year. There are still a ton of people waiting at other schools because the admissions are collapsing and they don't know who to waitlist and so on..

if I don't hear back by April 1st, in ruling USC out....all of these law schools can set deadlines, well I am setting my own! lol I refuse to enter April 2nd without having put down a deposit for the law school I will be attending.

Same. I went complete on 1/6, they've had plenty of time to decide if they like me or not. Just like I've had plenty of time to decide that I like other schools more who have already accepted me.

I'm really hoping it's this week, I mean they haven't even send out waitlists yet.

The only thing I can think off is according to LSN they have been offering 150,000 scholarships and they might already have a near full class so all they would need is a few more. They have already given out more acceptances than last year according to LSN as well. I'm thinking a big wave of rejects is coming up next.

Decision finalized 3/24/14. No email or anything from snailmail. Hopefully not a wl or reject as I suspect.

I got mine the day after "Decision Finalized."

Just went to final review after CR1 2/24. Not too sure what to make of that. Talked to the dean last week and told her how USC was my first choice. she said she was going to see if they could get me a decision soon....anyone want to offer the general outcome on when this happens?

The dean of admissions at USC is completely useless. She has to wait for the faculty to basically approve every single acceptance, she can't accept anyone without their approval. Even someone who has the high stats and so on.. I think Yale does it this way as well or something close to it but Yale is Yale, they can do anything they want..USC on other hand is too slow..

Does anyone know if USC has some sort of deadline that they expect to make most of the decisions by? Deposit/scholarship deadlines are fast approaching at a lot of schools.

Sorry all I am new here but I keep seeing people reference updates on their status and receiving of emails etc. In my only response from USC I was told:

"Your application is now complete. Once the Admissions Committee begins the review process and a decision is made, we will notify you via postal mail. We cannot release decisions over the phone or by email."

Am I missing something or did others get an actual login with status check?
