Which scholarship? The AnBryce, for instance, says:
Applicants may apply for the AnBryce Scholarship by signing the appropriate statement on the J.D. application. Applicants should submit a one-page essay (500-750 words) with the J.D. application that discusses the circumstances surrounding the challenges they have encountered in their lives that qualify them to be a recipient of this scholarship.
So yeah, you should probably submit the essay with the application.

Finally, got the call. NYU is my top choice so I'm pretty elated! Never would have thought that I'd be going to a T6 law school.
Submitted 10/28
UR2 11/14
DLS 12/3
Call 12/5

Got the letter! There was a little handwritten sticky note with it -- did anyone else get this?

So it's a letter and not a package?! I've heard about the personalized sticky.

Yep, just a letter, but it noted that there would be a packet of materials coming soon.

Hello all --
Applied 11/14 and got my acceptance call 12/5 (yay!!)
I haven't received the letter yet but I am expecting it in the next day or so.
I did apply to a name scholarship (Furman Public Policy) but I was wondering if anyone has information on when -- or if -- NYU offers partial merit-based scholarships outside of the named full schollys? If so, does that information come with the letter, or might it come later?
NYU is my dream school but I don't think I can make it happen without some sort of scholarship, so any knowledge on this would be much appreciated!!

Congrats! NYU offers institutional scholarships based on need and merit in addition to the named scholarships too. There's more information about how to apply and what the deadlines are in the Admitted Students Web page.

That's exactly what I'm wondering. I applied ED in October and I'm still under review.
Fuck this is painful.
Same here. But there has been to be at least another wave or 2 of ED acceptances....right?

Haha thanks. A little holiday spirit will be salubrious, especially for those ITT who applied ED and still haven't heard! I would be wreck in that scenario.

I also applied ED and am still under review. Was everyone here who was accepted already in ED or RD?

I don't think the physical letters have actually been sent yet (maybe I'm wrong). Yes, it says decision letter sent under status, but wouldn't there be something under "mailings" on the left? I think DLS just really means that the decision is on it's way (email or phone) and that you can log in to the admitted students site. Who knows though, I could be wrong.
For those who got in via email -- is there anything under "mailings" that indicates an email has been sent?

People, including me, were specifically told to expect a letter. I remember something along the lines of "Your our official letter from Dean Kleinrock is on its way."
