The last several pages of this thread have single-handedly renewed my interest in Columbia. But still, I was (edit) am an RTS and turn-based child (edit) adult, so I'm not sure whether I'll fit in. Wololo? Anyone?

I haven't. Dude, if I can find that used at a Gamestop/online, I'm beyond down. I'm working full-time for my gap year before law school, but once I get home at the end of the day I've got no obligations left... plenty of time to cook dinner, go to the gym, and conquer a virtual universe on and off.Mr. Elshal wrote:For a (very long) while I also thought me and my friend were the only ones who heard of it. I find it crazy that this game wasn't wildly popular. And I still remember the look on my parents' faces when I asked them what "breeding" meant. God I love DWM
Have you ever tried DWM2? The Cody and Tara ones? I cut down on videogames a lot so I could focus on school but my mental age is quickly regressing and I'm tempted to go out and pick them up
And Cslouisck, we talking Age of Empires II here? 'Cause it's been a LONG ass time since I've played that, but it was great... I took an upper div elective my last school year called "History of Weapons", and I swear the reason I got an A in that class was AoE

Yes, yes we are. And Age of Empire: the Rise of the Rome taught me pretty much everything I needed to know for 7th grade history, too.J90 wrote:

someone ruined aoe2 for me when they taught me to build only hussars that only cost food in the black forest map and 20 villager castle build next to your opponent's camp. lol oh man this thread is awesome.
on a more serious note, any NYC morning mail VCE spotters for today or are we gonna go with Monday now?

This was my last highly anticipated matchup. It was pathetic.

Can someone PM me if there's actual Columbia-related activity? This thread is crying wolf way too much these days.

This would be fun if everyone stipulated to random character selection. I remember Pikachu being WAY overpowered in the n64 version.Lavitz wrote:Looks like I may have to come out of retirement to play you all in SSB (any version), especially this guy:porch wrote:But I will beat you alllllllllllll at smash for 64 if i do get one. I haven't played Brawl in a long time but I will beat anyone, anytime 1-on-1.

Challenge accepted. Remind me in August. If you're not attending CLS, then visit in August.helix23 wrote:I haven't played Brawl in a long time but I will beat anyone, anytime 1-on-1.
Columbia has a three-week pass/fail Legal Methods course, before the core classes (Contracts, Torts, Civil Procedure) start for fall semester. We'll all still be working somewhat, to be sure, but I'm not sure there's a better time for a mock tournament either... There's been a lot of trash spoken in this thread.

On an actual Columbia-related note, do rejections and waitlists also come in the mail? Are they in regular envelopes instead of VCE (NCE)?

I want to get into this Smash action. So many people talk so much smack, so few people truly bring it. Something tells me we got the real deal itt and I want to grind my chops.
