Re: Wake 2011
Not sure there is a real answer to that question. I know someone that applied a few years ago about 2 days before the deadline who was waitlisted and then accepted. Don't remember exact numbers, but nothing spectacular.2things2 wrote:anyone know how difficult it is to get into wake off the waitlist?
It really depends on who keeps their offers, who hangs out on the Wait list, and how you stack up to them. Obviously this is not a very revolutionary statement.
If you are serious about getting off the wait list I'd say make sure you don't fall out of touch with the admissions office.
good luck, I feel like that is what it will take for some of us to make it off the wait list

Congrats. We are number twins, how long before you got your decision? I submitted later than most so I haven't heard back, I just am horrible at waiting, haha.leidice wrote:In via email! 163/3.9x

I know this has probably been discussed at length somewhere in these 50 pages but what's Wake's scholarships like? My grads are at/slightly above their median; just curious if, since they are a private institution, they are generous with scholly's?

RelientKate: Congrats on getting in! Will you attend regardless of scholly money? I know you had chosen Wake because of your husband's military orders.

Did everyone who got scholly $ find out about it in their admission letter?? Did it come later?
I'm holding out hope that WFU is gonna offer me something.

At the undergraduate level, most certainly. I don't know how much of that is true at the law school level.kkklick wrote:I know this has probably been discussed at length somewhere in these 50 pages but what's Wake's scholarships like? My acceptance email said that if I were to receive a scholarship, the information would come in a separate email.girlonfire wrote:Did everyone who got scholly $ find out about it in their admission letter?? Did it come later?

I just read the thread seems scholarships are decent. I need about 20/year to make Wake a viable option.aspire2more wrote:At the undergraduate level, most certainly. Yeah, I understand that. But, weekend trips from NC to SC are much more doable than PA to SC....Relientkate wrote:It dependsNCtoDC wrote: RelientKate: Congrats on getting in! I mean, if Wake doesn't give you any money, I can see how going to Penn State would be the smartest option...but if they do give you money...GO WAKE!

East Coast, preferably Virginia/NC. How about you? And yeah, if Wake throws some moolah my way, it's definitely Demon Deacons, all the way.NCtoDC wrote:Yeah, I understand that. Re: Wake 2011
Well, ideally, I would love to work in Northern VA/DC. That is really more because my husband wants to do secret service. I don't really have a preference (as long as it is on the east coast).Relientkate wrote:East Coast, preferably Virginia/NC. How about you? I went to Wake for undergrad, and have a ton of friends from the law school who live/work in the DC area, so I think those jobs are definitely available to Wake Law grads.
