I had my interview with Mr. Twitty today over the phone and I'm very glad that I did it (especially prior to the re-review of the waitlist). He's very nice and personable over the phone and I think the opportunity to elaborate on any shortcomings in one's application is really valuable. I'd suggest scheduling an interview to anyone with a pending application.

Got my scholarship offer finally. Tooootally worth the wait. $35,000/year as long as I keep a 3.15. Damn.

+1 I've gotten 3 other separate mailings from W&L (including one sent on 2/4). I have no idea what's up.

Nothing in the mail again today.....I still havent received the letters dated 2/4 yet though. I live far away and I know the weather has been crazy, but still this is odd. I know it clearly stated that everyone would get a letter even if they got no $,....right?!?

I had mine yesterday and felt quite good about how it went, but Mr. Twitty didn't say anything with regard to a particular decision either.

same here i guess. discussed the school virginia etc. at least we tried. if you look at the status checker tomorrow is slated as pare down waitlist day. interesting. i feel like a piece of wood.

Best of luck to you guys. I wish I had a phone interview, but I did keep email contact with Brett. Realistically, I was lucky to be even put on a waitlist. It looks like that may change tomorrow.

Received scholly letter today! $20,000 per year, 3.15 stipulation. NICE! Makes it very comparable to tuition at my state schools now. I really need to check this place out. The more I read about W&L, the more I like it. LOVE all the transparency regarding employment data.

EDIT: Accepted last thurs, 163/3.9x

Anyone else with low stats who was waitlisted feeling anxious? I know I have such a small shot, but I can't help but love this school. I know I am setting myself up for some serious disappointment.

I'm with you. I was thrilled to have been waitlisted the first time around. I'm fully expecting to be some of the fat trimming off the WL. Better to be pessimistic, that way I either get what I expected or am pleasantly surprised

At this point it's prob safe to say that they're more or less done paring things down. Good luck to everyone on the WL.
