I got a JR1 today. Applied 11/19 (not exactly, I'm fudging for anonymity).

I think the pre-JR1 e-mail should be referred to as the JR1. The interview would be the JR2, and the acceptance call the JR3.

Yes, a couple people did earlier this week, I think. I'm UR on 11/17 and still nothing...

But then the JR2 would be a meaningless distinction for the purposes of keeping tabs on an admissions cycle, since it would be impossible for anyone to have a JR1 and not a JR2.

I really really hope there is another batch of JR1s on monday. Just starting to think that maybe maybe there is a tiny chance for me, although I wish they had waited for my fall grades for me to go UR....

JR2! Did not get a phonecall, but received an e-mail at 7:40 AM EST. Totally unexpected JR2, since I thought a wave of JR2 typically begins from 9AM EST. Maybe because I am currently not in the states and Josh did not want to wake me up with a phonecall.

Congratulations! International/abroad applicants got JR2s by e-mail in the early morning EST for the last batch of JR2s, too, so it looks like he is using the same procedure. Good luck to everyone waiting for JR2s today!
