I believe the conclusion was that if you applied in October, you shouldn't start to panic about not hearing back until late December/early January. I am also still waiting on a decision from the 10/26 complete group.

Plus with your numbers I'm sure you'll get into Michigan and a number of other great schools!

I am part of the 10/26 complete group, above the 75th GPA and at the 75th LSAT. Definitely concerned about not hearing back yet. Hopefully it is because I sent two optional essays in early November and got pushed back. Didn't expect this whole application cycle to be such an ordeal. Between finals and obsessively check statuses and TLS I'm going a little nutso.

Hmm I guess writing and sending in optional essays now would help me?

I'm no expert, but my intuition says that it can't hurt.

Mich is my first choice and I'm of the 10/26 crowd, so I'm a bit antsy.

It could mean something. If I remember correctly before the large batch of acceptance came out, their status checker didn't change. Though, don't look into it much. Your numbers are t6 bound.

Do you think Michigan can tell if I keep trying to log into the admitted students website even though I am currently still "complete"?

Anecdotally, i've read on TLS that they can. Just keep it to once or twice a day and you'll be fine.

However, the same anecdotal evidence seems to show it may not matter, since they were posted by habitual offenders that got admitted. That said, I'm not going to be risking it.

Last year some dude on here was checking the admitted students site hundreds of times per day, and Dean Z emailed him and posted on here saying that all the people checking was placing a strain on the system. Click: http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 5#p2295118.

Either way, it's probably not good for your health. If you're that bent on knowing that you got in THEEXACTINSTANTITHAPPENS, you probably won't be able to handle the strain of waiting a month for JJ White to give you your C+ in contracts.

Also: I'm prepping for exams right now, but could always use a distraction, so feel free to message me on here if you've been admitted and have questions about UM, summer start (do it!), Ann Arbor, etc. I don't log on regularly, but I'll get an email notification and will try to respond relatively quickly.
