Re: NYU 2011
Hey guys...I have no idea if anyone would have advice on this...
I was recently invited to join Golden Key at my graduate school...is it worth it to add an addendum to my NYU application even though I'm currently listed as "under review"?
Also, I never thought about this, but is it worth saying something about lower grades during the Fall semester of my senior year? My grades have a clear upward trend until that point when I had a death in the family which led to me to have to go home a lot more and to miss class (I think I had a 3.1 that semester).

Either it means no other ED people here are in the first round, or for some reason you weren't considered ED and just got in RD.landpirate wrote:That's gotta be a good thing, right?Hannibal wrote:
If true, you're the first ED person.

Why can't they just let me know in the status checker?!
Congrats!!! I'm 173/3.65 Engineering too!
Still UR 10/20

Quick Q: Did anyone with a 12/3 "decision letter sent" status apply for a named scholarship and attach the scholly essay at the same time you submitted the rest of your application?

Why didn't you include an addendum for the fall grades with the app?IsleMet wrote:Hey guys...I have no idea if anyone would have advice on this...

I would definitely not mention the Golden Key thing; that will be of no help whatsoever. You may want to submit an addendum for the fall grades, though..

I also just checked, and my status changed to decision sent.
I don't really remember any of the dates, but I submitted in early Sept.
PM for stats.

Wait? So did we all agree that everyone who has "decision letter mailed" on their status checker is most likely to be accepted?

Guys, no one gets rejected in December unless they EDed for the last two years. I don't think they're just going to fuck with us this cycle and are sending out rejections to people with pretty solid #s.

Speaking of which, what kind of numbers do you actually need for NYU scholarships? (I'm sure I'm out, as NYU is a target for me, but just curious!)arism87 wrote:I diddbrddr wrote:Quick Q: Did anyone with a 12/3 "decision letter sent" status apply for a named scholarship and attach the scholly essay at the same time you submitted the rest of your application?

Is there any way to check to see if I am officially ED or not? Otherwise I'll just update this once my letter comes this week.Hannibal wrote:
