I received the scholarship offer email as well. 7500/yr (in state) with a 2.0 GPA requirement for the first year and 2.25 for the last two years. The email asks for an immediate reply, or response by April 5 or else the offer is forfeited.The email came at 10:30 last night.
I particularly loved this part of the email: "This scholarship offer is the highest amount we can offer to you. We cannot negotiate in response to offers from other law schools. If you have any additional questions about this award, please don't hesitate to contact me. Congratulations again on this offer."

Yeah I like how up-front they were too! I am in state as well. My offer was for 16,500/yr (Thank you God!!!!). I thought the GPA requirments were more than fair considering it is the same GPA required to continue in the program. It is much higher at some other schools. My deposit has already been sent. So, I responded immediately.

Scholly offer just hit here - OOS 163/3.4 10k/yr with grade stipulations.

Scholarships are coming. I just got ~20k/yr. Out of state ~167 ~3.5. Scholly had GPA requirements so I'm a little hesitant but I still feel blessed to have the offer.

I know of a non-URM/in-state that got 7500/yr offer! I don't personally know his numbers though. Good luck to you. I hope more offers are on the way!

My coworker isn't on TLS but he received 10K/yr (non-URM/OOS). He said he's been in touch with someone from his LSAT class who also applied to UNC and that person received 15K/yr (I think he said 15K). Anyway he said the friend is Colombian (which according to TLS isn't URM).

Edit: My coworker's friend is in-state and has a 166 LSAT (unsure of GPA)

Between tomorrow and April 1-2 is the cutoff date, where the most movement will occur (for most, I believe)...I propose a countdown...

So, not to be a downer... but what leads everyone to believe that there is going to be another significant wave of acceptances? How do we know everything else isn't just rejections with the possibility of a waitlist? Just wondering where people are getting their info or if it is all just speculation and hope. Good luck to everyone, btw!

About that GPA requirement on the scholarship offer... 2.2 is the cutoff for it the first year which initially scared because I had visions of section stacking and all this draconian fun, THEN I looked up their curve and I also looked up the GPA requirements to stay in the program. Well, 2.2 is the minimum GPA to stay in the program and is also the line in the sand demarcating "good academic standing." The percent of students who receive this grade or lower is roughly the bottom 6%-14%. I hope this helps anyone who initially had qualms about a GPA requirement attached to the Chapel Hill scholly.

If you look at LSN for UNC last year, they are following an almost identical trend as they are this year with regard to decision dates and types therein. Also, several on this thread have called and claimed they were told their file has not been reviewed yet.

I gues we'll know if we are right by monday.

Because I talked to the Dean of Admissions, and she said that they would try to get some out btw now and April 1 (next Thurs)

Anyone here who is a current UNC UG that has been accepted? I just logged into the new MyUNC portal and on there was a section for active applications. I clicked on the "Edit" button for the Fall 2010 application and it gave me an error. I clicked on the text below it saying "Check scores" or something like that. At the bottom of the page it took me to I saw my JD application. I have been waitlisted but it says "Thank you for submitting your application. Your decision is not yet available." So I was wondering if it says "accepted" for anyone who has been accepted. Yes, I'm fishing for a status checker.

I'm an UG here who's been accepted and I've got to be honest I don't know what the new myunc portal is. I guess that shows how studious I've been this semester haha. I'll check it out and let you know what I find.

edit: It says no decision has been made. Like everything else this cycle for UNC, this seems to be an unorganized mess. Sorry...

Just did it! It works!....but still nothing on the admissions front - just says "decision not yet available"
