Every Monday morning I get a little extra excited thinking today might be the day when the flood gates open.

I'm not sure what the consensus is on how early we can start negotiating over money, but it seems like if schools are working with limited amounts, it makes sense to beat the pack. I typed up my first real one tonight, but I guess I'll wait to Monday after Xmas to hit submit.

I wouldn't. Might be a bit pushy this early. Some schools wait until a fair number of initial offers are made before doing the negotiation.mornincounselor wrote:I'm not sure what the consensus is on how early we can start negotiating over money, but it seems like if schools are working with limited amounts, it makes sense to beat the pack. I just added things up ... apparently there are 8% more applicants overall: Last year 17,049. This year 1382 more. In the 170 and over range there are 17% more, so if you take out the 8% overall increase, then 9% more have scored in the 170 range.EnderWiggin wrote:New cycle data out, this time with the number of scorers at each LSAT score between 140 and 180!

I was hoping some movement would lend some excitement to the very slow work week. Alas.gamerish wrote:Guess there really won't be any movement this week T__T

When do rejections and waitlist notifications start to go out in full?

Re: c/o 2019 Applicant Compendium (2015 - 2016)
I don't remember where the bar graph is, but Jan/Feb is when they hit the fan. I think most schools want to get a fuller picture of their applicant pool before they reject/waitlist certain candidates (and they don't wanna send out poor news before the holidays), so they wait until after Dec LSAT scores and application submissions. Also, some scholarships have a Jan 1 deadline, so applicants to those may be on hold until after all those get processed.Li'l Sebastian wrote:When do rejections and waitlist notifications start to go out in full?

Can I submit a Why X after I submitted my application? It's been about a month and a half.

You probably can but I'd wait and send it as a LOCI if you get waitlisted.theugg wrote:Can I submit a Why X after I submitted my application? It's been about a month and a half.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
