Yeah, you're not gonna see me around on this thread for a while, folks. I need sanity. Good luck over the next few weeks!

Oh, I only just noticed that. I have it too. SPWL.purell2 wrote:Mine had this attached at the end:

Gotta love how GULC's giving us all these tea leaves to read.

maybe a bit of a rhetorical trick to get us to withdraw and make their decisions a bit easier :-/

sadists?? draw out the slow tortuous death? just a guess at one possible explanation.
I for one never thought my cycle would last the 7 months it has, but I'm ready for 2 more if that's what it takes! Guess we have to play by their rules to stay in the game. (sorry for the bad analogy Laker game is on)

I'm PWL.
I am also on the PWL, but I got the email with "if at all" and with no "hang in there, i.e. similar to the RWL email

Hoping this doesn't mean anything

I'm identical. I think it means that you and I need to step back, lower our expectations considerably, and save our emotional peace of mind.vmmf wrote:houseorbehoused wrote:I got the email w/o the "if at all" and w/ the "hang in there"

They always say that sending LOCIs isn't sufficient to get you off the waitlist, but, for the most part, is necessary. I wrote three edited, thoughtful LOCIs in 3 months. In this case, it appears LOCIs may be sufficient for one to drop deeper INTO the waitlist. Beware cause-and-effect theories in this WL process, everybody. Nothing is as predictive as LSAT scores.

I was looking at last year's forum, and it seems like they only extended about 2 FT and 2 PT offers after sending a similar email to the one we all received yesterday.

That info isn't from sufficiently representative samples... don't worry too much, yetlawapps0502 wrote:I was looking at last year's forum, and it seems like they only extended about 2 FT and 2 PT offers after sending a similar email to the one we all received yesterday.

it's only may 11 people...i think it is FAR too early to tell how things will play out over the course of the summer (ppl getting in off of other T14 wait lists, ppl deferring, etc.)lawapps0502 wrote:I was looking at last year's forum, and it seems like they only extended about 2 FT and 2 PT offers after sending a similar email to the one we all received yesterday.

True, but for those of us who have been doing this application/waiting thing for 6-7 months, we'd like to figure out our lives, well, sooner than later.MissLucky wrote:it's only may 11 people...i think it is FAR too early to tell how things will play out over the course of the summer (ppl getting in off of other T14 wait lists, ppl deferring, etc.)lawapps0502 wrote:I was looking at last year's forum, and it seems like they only extended about 2 FT and 2 PT offers after sending a similar email to the one we all received yesterday.

Did anyone who responded to the last wait list letter get an email confirmation that it was received and added to their file?
