Re: USC 2010!
My guess is that, because they haven't looked at your application yet, it wouldn't make much sense to send a LOCI just yet. I'm not sure if you were a Rothman invite, but there are some out there that haven't even gone in review yet, so I don't think it means they're not looking at your application because they don't like you or anything like that.DOOM wrote:Still at complete, mid-november. I'm not getting too anxious yet. Just curious to see what people thought, or why it would be discouraged.msch0i wrote:I think sending in a LOCI at this point would be discouraged. If SC was your first choice, hopefully you expressed that in your personal statement? I think that should've been enough. Are you in review or still at complete?DOOM wrote:anyone who is still complete or under review daring to send in a LOCI? it's not always discussed on these boards and i've gotten an initial impression that its a no-no until after you are hold/waitlisted. But if USC is your absolute top choice, good idea to make that clear to them/remind them at this stage?

hehe I took your advice and got in touch with the admissions office tonight only to get a snarky email back. Apparently "the wheels of processing move slowly"...Neelio wrote:Dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmnnnn.... you should call and see if everything is ok.tcam wrote:complete since 10/9 here

I got a similar response when I called, but all I asked was whether my application was being held from going into review because I had sent an email telling them to anticipate my new grades. All I wanted to was yes or notcam wrote:hehe I took your advice and got in touch with the admissions office tonight only to get a snarky email back. they are really secretive about how they sort. i went for a tour and they made me wait outside the admissions office so i wouldn't hear their discussions or see their filing system.

Slightly frustrated now. The adcomm I spoke with strongly emphasized the importance of getting my application in early. I submitted the very first day that they were accepting, and I've been at Complete since 9/28/2009.

i would have agreed just a week ago that this would have been one of the worst things that can happen to an applicant. you should call them or email them just in case.JOThompson wrote:Slightly frustrated now. but know that it can be worse. veritas knows...

Haha, FML indeed.
I know it's a reach school, but I'd like them to just squash my hope so I can make other plans.

nice. i believe you could have been a rothman invitee if you got that score before dec. maybe they'll still offer you a spot?albusdumbledore wrote:167/3.85finalaspects wrote:how did you do? over USC's 75% of 167?albusdumbledore wrote:IR as of yesterday. I took the December LSAT.

Re: USC 2010!
How many spots do they typically have for that? To be honest, I may sit this cycle out and retake anyways...I hurt my chances everywhere by applying so late.finalaspects wrote:nice. i believe you could have been a rothman invitee if you got that score before dec. maybe they'll still offer you a spot?albusdumbledore wrote:167/3.85finalaspects wrote:how did you do? over USC's 75% of 167?albusdumbledore wrote:IR as of yesterday. Aww, thanks for the condolences! At this point, I could forgive USC even if they waitlist me. Anyways, I don't mean to whine, good luck to everyone elsesoccersmo wrote:and the winner is... I was complete from 1/29 until today when I switched to "under review". Does a turn around this quick mean anything? 167, 3.9.

Re: USC 2010!
usually early turnaround means easy rejection or easy acceptance. in your case with those stats, i would lean on easy acceptance.sternc wrote:I was complete from 1/29 until today when I switched to "under review". Does a turn around this quick mean anything? 167, 3.9.
