When will the calls and/or rejections start?!
I was with you up until today. Still stuck at 1/7, but I don't really expect to get in with my LSAT.
I think they're hoping to do the next round of calls this week, going by what they've said on Twitter.

Cool thanks for letting me know.
It seems Chicago is following HLS' lead by keeping me in the dark. How quaint.

My status updated to 1/12/10! What does that mean? Probably not much except they are updating their rejection pile?

Congrats on the Darrow, booby. Any chance you turn down HYS for MV at this point?
Also, I am now convinced this recent update is a batch of mixed decisions. What I don't understand is why I'm not a part of that batch, given that I applied in the first week of September and went UR on 11/25. This tune sounds familiar.

Must be frustrating to be seemingly ignored by H and C. I'm pulling for you to get a decision from Harvard soon!

Eh, don't feel too bad for me.
Good luck to all those about to hear from Chicago.

So I'm going to take it from the deafening silence that they didn't start admitting people around 12:30-1:00 Eastern like we all thought they would. Anyone know otherwise?
And, I'm sorry for bumping this and scaring everyone.

Nope. Still in your boat. 11/25 to the end.
Edit: I should say, I'm not a likely Admit like you are, but for some reason I've got a good feeling about Chicago being nice to me, and my numbers wouldn't be that atypical for them coming from my undergrad.

Good to hear.
In fact, I sort of hope people are entertained by my song and dance with HLS. I think I would be if I were on the outside looking in.

Got it. That said, I don't think I'm a likely Admit. LSP has me at "consider."

I guess I'm just going off of your Stanford admit. You've clearly got something going for you....

Well at Stanford it may have just been the fact that I went to Stanford UG. Who knows. Also I think my PS was not exactly in line with Chicago's tendencies. Whatever. We'll see soon enough.

Chicago updated its twitter feed a few minutes ago, saying only "Minor delay in mailing admit packets. We plan to mail them next Tues. to all admits. We apologize for the delay, thanks for your patience."
Since they've tweeted about it when they released decisions before, it seems like there won't be any news today.

are those admit packets for the people who've already been admitted (a while ago), or for new admits? admit decisions are electronic, right?

Maybe I'll get the same consideration. I know they do give minor boosts for alums...although somehow I doubt it's big enough to overcome my GPA problem.

Most likely those are for already admitted students. They have been emailing and calling so far.

Most likely for people who've already been admitted - there have been a lot of "has anyone received their packet yet? where is my packet?!" posts in the "In at Chicago" thread.

I imagine these recent updates are a mixed bag of decisions, because with a 171 (retake) and a 3.75 from a poorly ranked UG I don't think I stand a chance.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
