Wait listed, no interview. Expected a ding, so I'm not mad about it.

Status checker just went to admitted! Applied 11/8, interviewed 12/20 with Grace Cleveland. GPA<25, LSAT=Median, strong WE and softs. I expected to be waitlisted with the hope of my December LSAT making a difference so this is a pleasant surprise.

Losing hope at UVA
UR1 on 11/21 and no movement since, LSAT = 75% and GPA between 50th and 75th. When I went back through lsn, it seems like most people who got accepted in the past few cycles heard about interviews relatively quickly.

I did indeed. And like I said I expected a ding, so no need to be sorry! I'm below both medians, so this just means I get to continue to work to convince them I'm worth it.

I'm right there with you guys. LSAT=75%, GPA>75% UR1 11/8. Also thought I had a strong app, but I visited and wrote what I viewed to be a strong Why UVA so I would be surprised if mine is YP. Bummer because UVA is definitely one of my top choices.canafsa wrote:Anon.y.mousse. wrote:Losing hope at UVAUR1 on 11/21 and no movement since, LSAT = 75% and GPA between 50th and 75th. I'm in a similar boat, but would be surprised to be dinged outright. My numbers are strong, my letters are great, my personal statement is fine, other schools have been snatching me up. I suppose yield protection is a possibility, but it feels far too early in the game to write them off.

I had mine today and have seen stories of people getting admitted at the end, or called a couple of hours later with an admit. I've also heard stories about not hearing back a month after the interview. Is there an average or general consensus? I don't feel that I knocked my interview out of the park, and now I'm getting nervous..Any information to ease the edge of anxiety would be helpful..
Hang in there! Your username makes me really want you to get in!
Likewise loving your username! I interviewed with Grace Cleveland and I think anxiety got the better of me... just looked at status checker and got in! I can't believe it! I was freaking for no reason. It's my first admit this cycle and I'm over the moon about it !!

If I got in back in September and still haven't received any information on scholarships, should I be worried? Or are they still catching up on some earlier acceptances for merit awards?

I love you, didn't think to check my status checker until I saw your post. I'M IN! I thought they would notify me via phone/email first.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but is it possible to get in without doing an interview?

I think UVA might interview all admits, but I'm not 100% sure.sorence wrote:Sorry if this has already been answered, but is it possible to get in without doing an interview?

Been UR1 since 12/7. Went complete on 11/3.
Is this normal or a bad sign?

Been UR1 since 10/12 with no movement. If UVA is playing hard to get to make me want them more, it might be working...canafsa wrote:Anon.y.mousse. wrote:Losing hope at UVAUR1 on 11/21 and no movement since, LSAT = 75% and GPA between 50th and 75th. Just got a $150,000 offer from Michigan- anyone know if it's likely that UVA increases their offer ($75,000)? UVA is my first choice, but I've heard that it's not common for them to increase merit aid amounts, and idk if I am in any position to turn down that much money.

Dude, you hold every card in this game. Just confidently and politely float your 150K Michigan offer to UVA and see if they make it rain. If not, Ann Arbor for you. If yes, you get first choice for almost full ride. Can't see how this doesn't work out for you. Congrats!tylergreenandgold wrote:Just got a $150,000 offer from Michigan- anyone know if it's likely that UVA increases their offer ($75,000)? Same boat. I think I saw on here that they sent some scholarships out with the acceptances but it was the exception to the rule and would be doing the bulk of their work later. Does anyone remember when that should be? Do they do it in December or is it not until after the new year usually?VA2lawschool wrote:If I got in back in September and still haven't received any information on scholarships, should I be worried? My status checker just changed to Admitted! How long does it take to get an email or a letter? I didn't get any phone calls/emails and only found out through the status checker
