Waitlisted after getting interviewed.
My interview did not go as well as I wanted to, especially after being sick the whole week and during the interview.

Re: Chicago C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Happy to add myself to the growing list of interview request recipients! Got the email this morning as well.
ETA: My interview request email just... disappeared. For a few minutes, at least. Long enough for me to almost start panicking. I saw the request on my phone notifications, but when I went to check gmail on my computer I couldn't find it. Checked all my tabs, and it just wasn't there. And then I went back to my phone, and it was no longer on my notifications tab! After a few stressful minutes, though, I fixed the problem by clicking the "all mail" button, and it came back to life. The email still refuses to be sorted into any of my gmail tabs, though.
Point of all the above being: if you use gmail, it might be worth checking for Chicago's emails in that "all mail" list. Just another thing to neurotically worry about this cycle

Interview Invite this morning. UR 12/20. I've read through the advice already on the thread, but I still have to ask...anyone have any good advice, pointers, or general wisdom that they would like to impart?

I'm sorry for asking this since it was probably answered earlier, but I can't find it....can anyone tell me what an interview request generally means for your chances of admission? In other words, how much should I get my hopes up?

Invited to interview! I went to undergrad in Chicago and would be absolutely over the moon about the chance to move back there. Honestly think it's my favorite place I've ever lived.

Invited to interview this morning as well. In a search, saw that someone had posted potential questions on the thread but I can't find them. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Why law?
Why law now?
Why Chicago?
What am I doing between now and law school (I was a December graduate from UG)?
Resume related questions (questions about specific items or bullet-points on your rezzy).
Have you ever had a time when you were out of your element or comfort zone?
What is your greatest accomplishment?
If you could go back in time and redo one thing in your life, what would it be?
Discuss a memorable class or moment in a class.
Why did you choose your undergrad?
What is your preferred work style?
What do you do in your free time?
How would your professors describe you?
How would your peers describe you?
How would your coworkers describe you?
Do you have any questions for me?
"Who most influenced your decision to go to law school?"
Tell me about a challenge you faced?
Tell me about your current job.
Any points you want me to especially emphasize with the admissions committee?
"What is on your bucket list?"
If you could have a conversation with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why?

I'll note that I was asked a slightly different version of that last question. They asked me 'if you could talk to anyone, living or dead, and ask them only one question, who would it be and what would you ask?'
I was also asked:
If you were moderating a debate with all of the candidates and you could only ask them one question, what would it be?
If you had to describe yourself in 3 words, and it can be a phrase if you wish, what words would you choose?
Overall I thought it was an enjoyable, relaxed interview, though some of the questions I was asked were fairly tough.

What policy issue do you think is most important and why?
