There are other schools I've applied to and have been waiting on. There's no need to be judgy. This is a forum, not high school
I don't know what's going on or why people are fighting but I can say that the waiting sucks and my best advice is to stay distracted if possible.... I usually like being busy and I've just been trying to stay extra-busy. We should hear back by early April at the latest so hopefully it won't be too bad!
The other silver lining (I think) is that starting in August we'll be buried in books, so might as well enjoy the freedom now
Also if you're going to law school, you'll be playing the waiting game perpetually. Law students are always waiting on something important.
Lol yep. Welcome to law school.
Eh I'm going to sleep now. That's how I feel about that haha.

i just submitted my app and received an email to check my application status. there was a link provided and my username and password. however, everytime I try opening the link the get the following error message "You have navigated here in error. Invalid Entry Point. You must enter this site from the law school's website. Perhaps your session timed out. Please return to your law school's website."
Has anyone else faced this problem? Should I call admissions?

Ah ok well one of you maybe email them and tell them that you think it's bad so they don't keep sending it.

I'm going to venture that you're the guy who interviews and has to wait for the adcomms to spend the holidays with their families instead of at work. Those monsters.
Well the thing is people who interviewed later than me have been getting acceptances on the 27th/28th/30th.... So it's kind of discouraging not to hear anything yet.

just a quick question about interviewing in general. i can imagine that others, like myself, have a hard time articulating exactly why law. i dont know precisely what i want to do, but i have a general idea. i can see how the general ideas might come off as vague to the interviewer.
what are your thoughts?
Interested in this as well.

This is not something to be worried about. Last year when I interviewed and was asked "why law" question, I was very vague and basically told the interviewer I didn't have a concrete answer for that question, or the "what area of law interests you" question. The interviewer told me that was fine, and she always felt students who had a very exact answer for what type of practice area interested them came off as a bit naïve. She also mentioned she basically hated the "I've known I wanted to be a lawyer since I was 5 years old" spiel. They know you are still figuring these things out. Seriously, don't stress about it.

You want to spend three years of your life, and at the very least forfeit 3 years of salary and likely incur tens of thousands of dollars in debt, to pursue a legal degree and you can't come up with anything other than a vague answer for how you came to that conculsion? I'm sure it's ok to not know what your future career path holds, but you should be able to enumerate your answers to that question even for your personal peace of mind. You don't need specifics, but you should be able to answer why you're doing what you're doing. You invested hours in study and applications, surely you'll be able to have some more concrete answers for that pursuit if you reflect on what's been driving you.
There isn't a right or wrong answer. Just reflect, be honest, and you'll be golden.

I mean, what you are describing
is a vague answer. No one is suggesting that when they ask the question you just say "I got nothing", I thought that went without saying.

I concur. No one's expecting you to answer with "I plan on doing Clinic A, doing B & C summer internships, going to law firm D in industry D', moving in-house in company E and in 7 years be earning 375k before tax for being awesome." But have a goal in mind and a good, general idea. During my interview (really laid back, seriously enjoyed the chat!) I basically said, "I want to do this vague thing far in the future (less vague than just "Public Interest" or "Corporate" obviously), but there are a lot of options I would like to explore once in LS and I don't want to write anything down in stone yet. Besides, there is more than one way in attaining my goal so I might not even do the clinic I mentioned and asked about." And through my questions, I asked about a lot of various programs which they seemed happy enough about. I was still told I seemed to have a good idea of what I wanted to do in the future.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
