It's not as scary as you thinkwtrc wrote:Have you been to the Lounge?winenot wrote:Soooo, in an effort to take everyone's minds off the question of JS2s and JS1s (none of us are prophets and the nail-biting waiting and conjecture serve only to kick up our adrenaline levels in vain)...
Anyone watching Catching Fire this week or the next? Anyone watch it at all? It's got high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, but I've always been more of a Battle Royale person and cannot figure out whether I should jump on the Hunger Games bandwagon or not.
edit: As I am mostly a lurker in these forums, do let me know if it's improper of me to ask non-HLS questions. I just thought it'd be a nice break from the seemingly endless waves of stress.

I disagree with this, in regards to harvard, at least. See generally my profile.Hat.trick wrote:No, a URM is only Mexicans, Native Americans, Blacks, and Puerto Ricans. being a vet is a nice soft thoughtwobitrye wrote:I'm a vet. Does that count as URM?mindarmed wrote:URM?twobitrye wrote:
I'll probably post two acceptances as well, the first one and the one I plan on accepting (assuming they're different). This seems like a good balance between coming off as braggy and sharing good news.
Unrelated: I got a JS1 with both GPA and LSAT at or below the 25th percentiles. For those of you out there with less impressive numbers but strong softs, it seems like it's still possible to have a horse in this race.
Also, vets are usually nontraditional

Anyone think Harvard is going to move js2s to tomorrow to keep pace with stanford?

If only if only. I think it would be seen as a move of desperation so they will wait.Sourrudedude wrote:Anyone think Harvard is going to move js2s to tomorrow to keep pace with stanford?

Don't worry, it killed my dreams just like it killed yours. Anyone send a thank you email after interviewing? I never thought it was important but according to Spivey it may reflect negatively on us if we don't.

Most people seem to have said no to this. I'd ask KB though!drawstring wrote:Anyone send a thank you email after interviewing? I never thought it was important but according to Spivey it may reflect negatively on us if we don't.

I hope the first JS2 wave includes those who interviewed in the past week. Waiting on HLS is tough!
