+1 to all this.2014 wrote:Grats all who got in.
WL folks don't be discouraged, I was in your shoes last year and am happily here now.
Getting WLed at Chicago was the biggest disappointment of my cycle, which made getting in four months later even better. Don't give up.

Re: Chicago c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Since we had quite a few decisions today I was thinking we could compile some data for interviewees who have received a decision so those who are still waiting can sort of get an idea of what an interview invite might mean for their chances.
I've never used Google Docs before and I'm pretty much spreadsheet retarded so I basically tried to copy what Papi did with the addition of decision information. This should be totally anonymous, but lmk if I herp derped something.
Form: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/vie ... dWc6MQ&ifq
Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... ldWc#gid=0
Once again, this is for people who have both 1) interviewed and 2) received a decision.

Re: Chicago c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I think there's also a lot of other information that could potentially be helpful. The spreadsheet isn't going to say anything about people who have interviewed but received no decision (are there any such people?) Also idk if anybody got accepted without an interview. But idk how to incorporate all that without making it a clusterfuck so I left it all out. If anyone thinks they can make a better form though, please do.

I know it's early and a weird cycle, but any speculation on how much Chicago uses the waitlist this year?

Meh. It was a pretty long shot. Lol, check out their ASW RSVP page - this is hilarious:

Uhhh, I'll take a lovely lady, and, uh, don't worry about me - I'll keep myself occupied.Gender preference for overnight host: *
Female
Male
No preference
I would prefer the following activity outside of the scheduled ASW programming: *
I would prefer to go out and socialize.
I would prefer to watch a movie or stay in for the evening.
I'm flexible and will go with the flow.
Don't worry about me; I plan to keep myself occupied.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
