And there are numerous Canadians who have been taken by the T6 this cycle, so I'm not so sure about my foreignness either. Oh well. I simply cannot fathom being taken by C and not NYU so I expect an imminent waitlist/rejection. My optimism has been shattered no less than five times this cycle; I won't make the same mistake with a school like Columbia. For now, I am going to seriously consider staying in Canada. Good luck to all of you.
Don't do it bro!!!!!

I guess there's about 10 days until the VCE freak out really commences? I think Columbia has released its first round of decisions in the last week of Jan for the last few cycles. I've had some success this cycle, but I also have heard nothing from S and was held at H. Getting into Columbia would be a dream!
Good luck to everyone! I'll definitely be waiting it out with all of you on here.

!!! I'm also Canadian, with a lower LSAT (but higher GPA) and I've gotten accepted into NYU...maybe you've just been YP'd (not sure about Harvard though)? You have great numbers and I heard Columbia is very LSAT-friendly, so you probably don't need to worry.
(hopefully you applied to U of T as well, just in case)

I've withdrawn from Columbia. I hope my spot goes to you (although your numbers are better than mine.....)

Lol, I would think after the Chicago thing you'd be less sure that you had a spot for sure

That's depressing. It's going to make waiting for NYU and Chicago look positively enjoyable by comparison.

What is this index number these people speak of? And, do we know whether they send VCEs to your current address? Or do they send it to your permanent address? (curious because mine are pretty far apart from one another).

Welp Columbia, once I hear from you my cycle will be over. NYU's passed me up rolling, Chicago likes me, and I don't stand a chance at HYS. Make this decision on me already.

does this mean anything?
I received a 3rd LOR last week, way later than I submitted my apps. As of right now LSAC says its been sent to every school I applied to EXCEPT the 2 schools I've already gotten into and Columbia
what???? could this mean that Columbia's already made their decision about me? Freaking out.

We won't know when ASW(s) are until the first VCE's arrive, right? Or do any of the ED'ers already know? I checked the official class of 2015 thread and didn't see anything.

Pretty sure that Hamilton offers come out with the VCE's... for the most part, it seems like you need (at the very least) 174+ and 3.8+ to land one. Although those numbers definitely don't guarantee one either. Good luck!

Another Canadian here. 174/3.95. In at NYU also. Seems like yield-protecting to me if you're not getting in with your numbers. Just hang in there for Columbia!

Correct, all named scholarships come with the VCE, unnamed ones come later.
