Has anyone heard from UCLA lately?? Just curious...I submitted 10/30 and still have not heard back. But I did send in a LOCI that was received on 1/20 (I called and asked if they got it since UCLA does not send confirmation emails).

According to a few LSN users, they send rejections via e-mail as well.

Really disappointed that I got YP'd/waitlisted here when I haven't gotten enough $$ from anything higher to make my decision set. Hopefully a LOCI will be enough given how far I am above median.

What were your numbers that warrant a YP?

Rather not be precise, but to correct myself, both are actually a few points above 75th. Maybe a lack of softs or WE hurt me.

me. sent a loci before hearing any decision since my app went complete in november. because, well why not.

does UCLA provide reimbursement for ASW travel? Vandy mentions it in their email, but UCLA doesn't.

I called Dean Schwartz to ask. Well, actually I called the main admissions number and the woman who answered said they'd get back to me, and apparently this meant that she would send Dean Schwartz an email and then he would get back to me. But - and here's the relevant part - they were willing to pick up my flight to get out there. They're not picking up my hotel or giving me any kind of stipend, but hey, free flight!

I don't know if they do this for everybody or not (if they do, that would/could get outlandishly expensive even by law school admissions budget standards), but its worth asking.

Thanks, that's great! Maybe they do it on a case-by-case basis.
I'll ask them about it; I figure it can't hurt.

Just got dinged 30 min ago. GPA above 75% and LSAT below 25% (with a letter from LSAC saying there was distractions).

At least they didn't make me check a stupid status checker. Thanks for that, I guess.
