Take my application as an example. In my PS, I specifically wrote that I wanted to be an academic (Chicago prides itself on producing a lot of law teachers). At the local law school fair, I asked Dean Perry questions about going that route. And I got in, even with my bubble numbers. Also, if you look on LSN, a solid majority of the people who applied ED to Chicago were accepted (and the people who weren't were waitlisted and are still being looked at closely), including many people with lackluster numbers for Chicago. This isn't definitive evidence that the law school gives a boost to people who self-select there -- as its admissions materials hint -- but it's certainly consistent with the idea.

Good luck, boo! At least there was something in your application that led them to spend their time interviewing you, right? That's gotta be a good sign.

Just changed from UR 11/25 to UR 1/12!
Does this mean a decision is right around the corner?

Still stuck at UR 12/14 after having gone UR for the first time on 11/25. Guess this means I've been passed over....

I wouldn't worry yet; so far, there's no perceptible pattern to the timing of updates.ankit wrote:Still stuck at UR 12/14 after having gone UR for the first time on 11/25. Guess this means I've been passed over....

I bet you have a decent shot at U-Chi, too. That GPA is nice and shiny and you obviously have a good app package, to get into three T-10 schools already.
i just meant that my LSAT is really subpar for chicago, but who knows.....

Information from last years cycle indicates a wave of accepts on January 8 & 9th with a wave of reject/waitlists falling between Jan 12-15th.

Similarly, you had numerous accepts last year on 12/23
BTW- I'm one of those Harvard September completes you've been looking for who's file is still alive. No JR1.
