Is UCR2 necessary to get admitted?

I don't know when I'll hear, but I have the same dates. UCR 1/3/17 and UCR 1/17/17.J-E-T-S wrote:Not familiar with Penn process so if you guys can answer:
Complete 12/5. UCR 1/3 or 1/5 (don't remember) and went UCR2 1/17. Good? Bad? What does it mean?
Thanks in advance!

Anyone else getting spammed with emails from Penn admissions today?
I'm wondering if this is their way of spiting me for not applying even though they sent me a waiver...

The process as I understand it is that Penn sends it's applicants through two readers or two stages of committee review, so you will go UCR1 and UCR2 before a decision is made. It's not good or bad because you get any decision after going UCR2. Hope that helps!ZVBXRPL wrote:+1 anyone care to explain processJ-E-T-S wrote:Not familiar with Penn process so if you guys can answer:

Just to add some perspective you can also undergo additional stages of committee review without your UCR2 date changing again. That's from the Penn Admissions office itself. My guess is that if you've been UCR2 for a while (however you define "while") you're one of the people undergoing additional review (i.e. Me lmao)VA2lawschool wrote:The process as I understand it is that Penn sends it's applicants through two readers or two stages of committee review, so you will go UCR1 and UCR2 before a decision is made. First-time poster for this thread. Just wanted to say I was UCR2 for almost two months before admission. Wasn't expecting to be admitted, since I'm <25% for GPA (at 75% for LSAT). Don't lose hope, y'all!mm2368 wrote:Just to add some perspective you can also undergo additional stages of committee review without your UCR2 date changing again.
