Think of it this way: If they wanted to reject us, they would've done it already.jnam806 wrote:still "complete" as of late Jan.

Not too logical. But that's what I've been telling myself lately.

LSN is a good resource. While the number of full rides the school gives out depends more on the strength of the applicant pool, rather than on how many there were in previous years, some of my friends have mentioned how they were getting almost full rides (paying $6k/yr), but I haven't met anyone who said they were on a full ride, although I'm sure it happens. People who is given a full ride at sc usually has a great offer from another school. And I would define "great" here as "incomparably better."batman88 wrote:Anyone know if (and how many) full tuition scholarships USC generally gives out aside from the Rothman?

A good thought to keep for when you are accepted and negotiating scholarships with sc.Purplepen wrote:I'm at complete too, which is annoying me a lot because they won't even get to my app (or anyone else in this position) until first deposits at other schools are past. USC is my second choice, and I'm still waiting on my first, which I'm definitely under review for, but it's more of a stretch than USC is for me. At this rate, I'm going to have to drop 500 dollars on a seat somewhere else while waiting, which is seriously not cool. I do feel slightly bad for being angry because we didn't have to pay application fees if we were on time, but it's still rude in my opinion. It's been 4 months, like what the heck?
Part of me wants to write a letter after seat deposits just saying I'm putting my name down somewhere else, but definitely want to be considered here as it is a top choice just so they know I exist, but I think we've had the LOCI while not wait listed as a no no discussion on this thread already.

Interesting that USC raised its deposit date from end of April to mid April.

Especially interesting given that an applicant cannot deposit until hearing of a decision.MikeJD wrote:Interesting that USC raised its deposit date from end of April to mid April.

Will USC notify decisions before the first seat deposit is due?

I called them and they said that if you're admitted after the deadline, they would give you some period of time for a seat deposit after you receive your acceptance. I didn't ask about the duration though. Can someone corroborate this information?calgoldenbear wrote:Will USC notify decisions before the first seat deposit is due?

A bit surprised about the waitlist, since lsn and a bunch of other sources suggested that with 167 and 3.6 I should get in. Whatever though, not staying on the waitlist, but good luck to everyone who is.

IF they miss their target for commits by deposit date I think they will work faster to get everyone including money. The facebook page is big but how many actually will go to USC vs other schools is unknown.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
