But I'm trying to stay optimistic too! We never got that end of March/early April wave.

They were dealing with ASW all day. I wouldn't expect any movement until next week.LaraCroftEsq wrote:No movement here.ggnobbq wrote:here's to today!LaraCroftEsq wrote:Just took a look at last year's cycle on LSN. I feel like that's bad for the rest waiting? 165 is so low, which is great for attendees

Another way to look at it is that they are really hurting in trying to keep their LSAT median. So if you haven't maxed out on your retakes, I would really really recommend sitting for June.

Re: USC c/o 2018 Applicants Thread (2014-2015)
They're being conservative and preparing for the worst case scenario. The worst yield and the lowest number for which they will keep their medians at. Last year they said they would have about 160 but ended up at 200. This year there are fewer applicants with high LSAT so I think will not end up at 200 but I'm about 99% sure they will have more than 170. It's too tough to predict yield at USC.

There was a person I met who deposited but was still debating between two schools. WTF. People like them are messing it up for everybody.

Isn't SC one of the schools that require that you withdraw all other acceptances once you deposit...? Guess we'll find out how strongly they enforce that or not. I know I read somewhere that there was doubt whether any school had actually had pulled a student's acceptance for double-depositing (or triple...etc.).LawsRUs wrote:There was a person I met who deposited but was still debating between two schools. Honestly, at this point I might end up multi-depositing as I'm still waiting on five sleeper schools (no-responses) and three waitlists. It's really hard to make any real decisions without knowing what all the pieces I have to work with are. Schools are taking longer because students are taking longer because schools don't know where students are ending up because other schools are taking longer because....the cycle could go on until forever!
All I know is USC still has room for me. I just need one seat.

^^ exactly. What gets me mad is that they only deposited to get the $2,000. No intention of withdrawing. Honestly, if USC over-enrolls, I feel like they can take away their offer of admission on this ground. But total speculation. Like you said, we will see how they enforce this.

Re: USC c/o 2018 Applicants Thread (2014-2015)
I doubt we'll ever know. Do you think someone would admit to not only violating that stip but also taking extra money while they were at it? Would any other school ever accept them?LawsRUs wrote:^^ exactly. What gets me mad is that they only deposited to get the $2,000. No intention of withdrawing. Re: USC c/o 2018 Applicants Thread (2014-2015)
Well let's hope for something today. I'll be honest, I'm getting pretty frustrated waiting this long. When they told me they couldn't accept my Why USC? back in February, I thought it was because my application was getting ready for a finalized decision and they simply didn't need it. Two months later and nada. If I don't hear anything today, I think it's safe to assume waitlist. It's already April 13th...

I called them a few weeks ago for my LOCI and they said that they won't add anything to your file unless it's a tangible change, like a new job offer or something.LaraCroftEsq wrote:Well let's hope for something today. Anyone know how long it usually takes between final review and a decision?

Anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks. If we switch to decision finalized within the next few hours, I'm gonna start getting excited. Acceptance waves typically happen super fast.Chigu wrote:Me as well.yannao wrote:+1 Same...ggnobbq wrote:just went FR between now and an hour ago
