At this point, let me express my condolences. I got in on the Monday before Thanksgiving, and it was a pretty big weight off my shoulders knowing that my application cycle was going to be fine no matter what else happened. It has to be a little more stressful not having that yet.
I'll check back in next week. Someone get in by then, okay?

Yeah, doesn't he always post about TPR too? I think I remember seeing him talk about it bc I teach for TPR as well. I thought the name looked familiar but am only just now placing it.ikethegremlin wrote:Yeah. There are additional slots open. One on the 4th, plus 17 on the 16th. Seems like some from week 6 disappeared, though. Regardless, there are 35 open now.

- Week 2 (11/10): 27
- Week 3 (11/17): 48
- Week 4 (11/24): 10
- Week 5 (12/1): 46
- Week 6 (12/8): 23
- Week 7 (12/15): 17

Oops, in editing a whole bunch of times, I didn't realize that I'd taken out the "I'm a 4L" introduction to that post. I got in the Monday before Thanksgiving... in 2011. Edited to fix.w0w wrote:Or some year bc his profile says c/o 2015
(Note: I'm a 4L because I'm a joint-degree.)

No surprises on my end. My interview was not with JS, but it seemed pretty on par with what everyone else was saying. Very conversational and laid back!RedColossus wrote:How did interviews go today for everyone? Any surprises?

Ditto for me. No big surprises, pretty laid back all in all. Don't sweat it.LawBron James wrote:No surprises on my end. Mine was casual but still professional. Got 4 or 5 open-ended questions that were specific to me. The questions were quite perceptive actually, and got at all different aspects of my life (WE, school, etc.). Total was 15 min. PM if you'd like to know the details.
Good luck to everyone who haven't had theirs yet! It goes by super quickly-- you might not even have time to be nervous.

Yes, based on what they said in the application complete emails (at least mine).Pau.C. wrote:Do we think that there will start sending out JS2s sometime in December?
I know they did last year, but obviously this year things are different.
The time it takes to review an application and notify a candidate of the Committee's decision varies from case to case. All candidates will receive a notification of their decision via email. Decisions are made on a rolling basis, which means you can expect a decision anytime between December and May.

In my interview today I got the standard 'don't expect anything soon' and my interviewer said that I shouldn't hear anything until after the holidays. No idea if that only applies to recent interviews or if the earlier interviews might hear back before the new year.Pau.C. wrote:Do we think that there will start sending out JS2s sometime in December?

Am i the only person who didn't notice that they aren't doing phone calls this year. its says this is in complete email
"The time it takes to review an application and notify a candidate of the Committee's decision varies from case to case. All candidates will receive a notification of their decision via email. Does this mean no phone calls at all or that there will also be an email?

Can anyone who applied last year check their complete email to see if they said decisions via email? Would be interesting to compare...

This is nothing new. The JS2's will (likely) be by phone unless you're unavailable. Even if you get the phone call, they'll still send an e-mail to confirm. They just probably won't send you snail mail.lashley wrote:Can anyone who applied last year check their complete email to see if they said decisions via email? Would be interesting to compare...
