Idk about this new batch, but those of us in the first batch were almost all over both 75ths. A couple pages back, Lavitz said that Cornelll does this to YP.MnM22 wrote:People who got interview invites: What are your stats like? Are you YP territory? Splitters? Above/below medians/25-75%?

Do most people actually travel to Ithaca to interview? I am just curious if opting to do my interview via Skype will be a big deal, as I live in Arizona.

I was told by Cornell via phone (when I called to schedule the interview) that the vast majority of folks are choosing Skype.BoyOhBoyle wrote:Do most people actually travel to Ithaca to interview? I am just curious if opting to do my interview via Skype will be a big deal, as I live in Arizona.

Visiting is always a better choice because you get to actually meet the interviewer in person and create a more direct bond. You also get to see the University. But I don't think it really matters in terms of admissions. At the end of the day Cornell is a nationally recognized University attracting students from all over the USA, they are not going to reject someone just because he lives far.BoyOhBoyle wrote:Do most people actually travel to Ithaca to interview? For those who just got interview requests, relax. It is low stress and very pleasant.
